Seriously man, after countless threads and posts about the morals/ethics of dealerships who charge ADM and how unfair it is to average buyers, yadda, yadda, yadda.

So instead of doing the moral and ethical thing like buying 1 car and leaving 1 for another true enthusiast, he tries to grab 2! Un-freakin-believable.
After hearing some of his rants and his holier than thow comments, his post was kind of suprising...but then again, was it really???

Being greedy only applies to dealerships!!!

I am not sure how much I believe the story but...

The fact that he says that he isn't even sure what he is going to do to the second car is a punch to the face to the person behind him that didn't get a car.

Appreciate the insight! I'm looking to put in an order pretty soon, I just didn't know if I should go that route or just wait and see what ends up on lots instead

Dealers aren't allowed to personally profit, but no shame in him personally profiting, right? In a free market, anyone should be able to buy as many as they want, right?

The hypocrisy is astounding. He has to be joking.

It might be getting hard even now to order other than to choose what the dealer has ordered. If you find an available allocation you might want to act on it.Next year there should be more flexability and more available allocation.
For the few here such as myself I wont be able to buy until jan./Feb. 2016, is the thinking that the car will be totally "sold out" and unavailable nationwide? will the car be unavailable to order around Jan/February 2016 for a M/Y 2016?

Some of the same hype was made over the Hellcats and you can find them listed with a broad range from $120K-$60K, not saying its the same car at all but similar hype.

Please give me direction will I even be able to find one early 1st. qtr. 2016 not obsessed with having to order one exactly to my specification other than hopefully finding one in one of two color choices. Thanks to all.

It is a gamble either way. Even if you get an order in now for a 2016 you might not see it until next year. If allocation levels are truly what they seem to be , I'd bet you won't be able to get one at MSRP until the 2017 model year. If allocation increases for any number of reasons, you probably would be able to find one next year. It is too early to tell.

I'd place the hype of the GT350 higher than the Hellcat; more along the lines of the C7. I believe the hype is going to get even higher when the press reviews come out... it could decrease, but I have faith.

AFAIK, this is not true. The dealers who paid to be a part of the Shelby GT350 program have known their 2016 allocations for several weeks, and they do know what the mix will be.
I am certainly aware of the $1000 fee for each dealership that wanted to be part of the Shelby GT350 program and your point is well taken with respect to all known allocations for the 2016 model year.

Having said that there is still some confusion with some of the Ford dealers as to whether they have an allocation for the 2016 model year. I recently spoke to a couple of dealerships that I know both of which paid their $1000 fee and neither of them have been advised either way as to whether they have an allocation or not?

If they have not been advised by Ford either way then possibly they do not have an allocation? But as one dealership said when it came to allocations for the Boss 302 cars and especially the LS cars they were told either they had an allocation or they did not?

Based on numerous conversations over the last couple of months there is a great deal of confusion at the dealership level.

Not here to debate the issue just passing comments along based on many conversations with some dealerships and thought those comments might be helpful to interested buyers on here?

:)

Yeah, stop picking on the sociopaths. :gossip:
You sure you know the definition of a Sociopath?

Sociopaths are masters at influence and deception. Very little of what they say actually checks out in terms of facts or reality, but they're extremely skillful at making the things they say sound believable, even if they're just making them up out of thin air.

Has he influence you?

Sociopaths are charming. Sociopaths have high charisma and tend to attract a following just because people want to be around them. They have a "glow" about them that attracts people who typically seek guidance or direction.

Have you been charmed by him?

Sociopaths are more spontaneous and intense than other people. They tend to do bizarre, sometimes erratic things that most regular people wouldn't do.

Sociopaths invent outrageous lies about their experiences.......

Sociopaths seek to dominate others and "win" at all costs.....

Sociopaths tend to be highly intelligent.....

Sociopaths are incapable of love .....

Sociopaths speak poetically.....

Can you really say this?, you know him that well? do tell....

That's what I'm doing too.

The whole process seems a little bizarre to me, and I've heard that there have been some dealers who didn't sign up for the program wondering where their allocations are - plus others who signed up when someone walked in the door wanting a GT350.

In my case, I got spoiled by the ordering process for a C6 and and a MINI JCW, where I could find out, on a daily basis, the exact status of the cars. With the GT350, I'm confident I have a firm deal, but the VIN, production and delivery dates all seem to be aimlessly floating around in the ether. I just don't like doing business that way; it takes a lot of the fun and excitement out of the whole experience - plus, it's just plain frustrating.

You sure you know the definition of a Sociopath? SNIP
A person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.

Of course, with everything there are grays - all is not black and white. I would think of a sociopath as someone who would murder others or torture small animals for fun.

However, the tendency to not realize, notice or care what others think is a step toward a real antisocial attitude.

The other flowery stuff you wrote about getting along with people or being a cult of personality has nothing to do with being a sociopath.

This thread is pretty entertaining...as someone who has never gone through a process like this before, it has been a bit of an eye opening experience. I've only ever bought cars that were readily available on the lot and definitely not high demand. The only reason I'm chomping at the bit now is not just to be one of the first few to have one but to be able to get one configured to my liking and one that hasn't been touched by anyone but myself. Sure I could wait and see what happens but who knows what may happen between now and then not just with the car but personally in life, this is my best chance to get one so I might as well try. I just hope to get a call in the next two days, haha!
