Guys Im thinking about "baling-Ship" on the GT350 for a Saleen Black label I option on out tonight at 83K Ruby Red....If I find out that my car is not allocated until 1 or 2 QT 2016..Im out and one of you lucky guys can have my MSRP deal....I am waiting on my dealer to let me know..if it comes back "an..I do not know when...." then Im out ..I can have the Saleen Black label in 2 months at my house....stay tune.... P.S. should I get Ruby Red...White..or Orange....I want this car to stand out !
... I don't think that car will compare to the 350. Stay strong and be patient.

A big No vote on Rudy Red. Look at the "new" Shelby whatever (super snake). I love Rudy Red as a "bright" color (chrome wheels, chrome accents etc) but when you start adding black accents it just seems "dirty" and loses much of it's pop.

You want standout...go Race Red or Triple Yellow...black accents (grille, chin spoiler, any striping etc) really stand out as accents and really make the color.

I'd rather go GT350..and this comes from a former Saleen owner (I'm in the Saleen registry book- 2001 #93). But I'd also add some "get real" language to my stated preference. No one here is racing for a living. If any of you think you can or will EVER experience a "difference" in terms of the driving/performance experience between a GT350 and a Saleen Black Label you gotta stop smoking crack.

Both cars have capabilities well beyond the skill level of the posters on this forum. If your a professional hot shoe (commanding enough respect for a full-time professional ride) and your only using the car on a track then you will experience the difference. The rest of us-no (stop dreaming).

But $83k for a Black Label...I'd probably start shopping and offering $25k over MSRP for a 1st quarter "R" if your gonna play in that money realm.

Man...stick with it. It sucks to wait but it'll be worth it!

Either that or like 1260 said, if u r willing to spend that kind of money shell out ADM for an R...probably lose 20k driving the Saleen off the lot. Plus I think you could build a car with better looks than that...

I think you should wait it out.

I agree with others, wait it out. However, if you decide to go the Saleen route, I'd love to have your MSRP GT350 deal. :) I cannot find a single dealer with 350 miles that will play ball on an MSRP deal. One dealer wants an ADM of $25K! I told him exactly what I thought of his offer. If anyone knows of dealer in my area that would entertain a GT350 at MSRP, let me know.

I would rather you answer the questions rather than wager... Right?
I was able to order a 2015 GT350. And, I found another one today that was already on order...but, the dealer wants $20K over. Yikes!

Yes. I posted my DORA on another chain, as well as the details on the other 2015 I found today calling around.
Congratulations

I would assume it is actually a 2016, not a 2015. Right?

I don't mean to burst bubbles here but a DORA does not mean you will get a car... It is just a confirmation that an order was placed and received.

ALL 2015 350 orders had to be in by June 5th. They were invitation cars. If you "lucked" into a 2015 you should/need to play the Lotto.

Anything available now, and even available in May, to the general public, were likely 2016 cars.

We covered this in another thread. The assignment of the VIN is confirmation of a car.

Then maybe he can post the VIN of his 2015 and it will put this to rest.
I can assure you its a 2015 :). As stated in another chain, I just happened to be in contact with a dealer at the right time - truly act of God. The dealer got a call from their rep over 2 weeks ago at the time their rep said they were given an allotment, and that the dealer had to place the order by 3pm that same day. I put my deposit down and have it in writing.

I haven't received a VIN; however, I spoke to the dealer yesterday, and I should get the ETA and VIN soon.

The other dealership that has a 2015 on order (the gray with black stripes - track pack) is Smith Ford of Lowell, Indiana. Feel free to call and verify - I spoke to Justin K.

Its interesting how skeptical people are about this. No worries if you don't believe me. :D
