Newest Sync/NAV Version?

I mentioned in a previous thread that my A6 NAV SD chip does not seem to be able to display lakes (it does display streams).

Does anyone know the product number of the newest version of Sync? (Mine is 4.32.14073_PRODUCT)

Does any know the product number of the newest NAV App? (Mine is Version 3.62.5)

Does any one know how to find out from Ford the newest versions of Sync and Nav?

Have you registered on owner.ford.com ? That is probably the easiest way to check if you are up to date and provides instructions.

'jbailer': I have looked at owner.ford.com. Where do you find the newest sync Product number or NAV App Version number? All I find is PR blather and statements that say I am months away from having to have my Ford dealer look at my 2015!

UPDATE: CONFIRMED: The 2015 NAV A6 car will NOT display water bodies such as lakes! I just bought an A5 SD and lakes are displayed. No lakes shown on the A6 card. The manufacturer HERE was bought by NOKIA and I guess since SYNC3 will not be the same as SYNC2, NOKIA decided to cut features on the last SD run.

My dealer called me back and also confirmed...No lakes display on the A6! He couldn't figure out why HERE did that! So if you prefer bodies of water displayed, you will need to buy a 2014 A5. I bought one for $45 from eBay.

Hey tsunami,

4.32.14073_PRODUCT, also known as 3.7.11, is the version number used by the dealer and engineers. It is the latest software for 2014 and newer vehicles. The current Navigation Application Version is 3.62.5. This means that you have the A6 SD card inserted.

Looks like your system is current. Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for information about the MyTouch newest version. I was hoping that I 'did not' have the newest version because of the lack of lake body mapping in my A6 SD card. I subsequently have bought a 2014 A5 SD card and lakes are beautifully mapped on NAV. Nokia/HERE confirmed that they did NOT include digitized lakes on the A6 card but would not say why.
From this removal of map data, from the NAV cards, I believe that the SYNC 3-NAV system in the 2016 models will NOT be using the Nokia/HERE SD chips.

Hey tsunami,

I'm glad you were able to reach out to HERE. They will still provide the map data for SYNC 3, but it's embedded and will be easy to update via USB. No more SD cards.
