I just went to Ford.com and built a car like mine. It said under details of the shaker pro audio system "Shaker™ Pro Audio System with 12-speakers including subwoofer is included with Ecoboost® Premium and GT Premium."
Not optional but included. When I checked it though it said it required a change to 401A and the and the money for it too. Who knows.

I have a 400A GT Premium, the 12 Speaker Shaker with the sub is not included with that package.

Maybe a late model change? I asked ford service and am waiting on a reply.

Response I got from Ford Customer Service on options on 400A package. Wish it were true

Hey eric66,

I do apologize. Someone brought to my attention that this was a mistake. The 400a package (as far as my last updated order information states) does not come with the added options, such as HD Radio. Sorry for any confusion.

Jeff

My car was only built in March so I would be furious if suddenly in April these were included options.

Yeah, I would be pretty pissed off if HD radio comes standard in the 200A/400A packages.

I really wanted HD radio, but I did not want that other stuff at all. I was soo bummed it was not a standalone option.

I wanted in dash Nav but wasn't worth the 750 that ford wanted.

I have an EB Premium with 201A, and it has the HD Radio (at least, the logo appears on certain local stations). I'd figure the 401A has it too. The Ford web site seems to confirm that.

That's funny because my 400A has NONE of that stuff...

Driving around today, I discovered my XM trial period ended. But that's OK, because the sound quality sucks. And so I tuned into my local stations and it dawned on me that I could really care less if I had HD FM because all of my local stations suck too! Our market is run by a bunch of inbred dumbasses that think everyone wants to hear pop country that's mixed with rap or force three different genres of rock on one station for us to listen to. I guess I'm going to be using a lot of bandwidth with Pandora.

Couldn't agree more.. I think it's like that everywhere anymore.

If only Sirius sounded better...because I think the (music) programming is excellent. We've got pretty good FM here in the Windsor/Detroit area. Not all that many broadcast in HD, though...but 97.1 The Ticket does! Baseball broadcasts never sounded so good...

Agree that Sirius doesn't sound very good. But it's an OK option for driving across the Nevada desert where there isn't even an AM signal. I love the Sirius programming but can only put up with the tinny sound when I have to. Otherwise I listen to local FM.

Who knew? All the early material says it DOES come with HD. I assumed I had it but never really tried to use it. Glad I wasn't counting on it. I really thought the 400A and 401A head units were the same. Clearly not.
