Dealership lost my license plates

My dealer in Houston claims that they have lost my plates. I suspect that they have been stolen so someone can use the toll roads and the bills will come to my home address. This scam has been known by law enforcement for some time. I feel your pain, ad23tzj, as I believe I am also a victim. I only discovered all of this when I called Ford to inquire about my convertible caps and found out that Ford had no record of me purchasing the car. What a mess.

I am so sorry to hear that. I was at the DMV this morning to get proof that those old plates were cancelled. I will be making my way down to a police station later this afternoon to make a report as well. You should probably do the same too if you haven't already done so.

Look at the video from the toll booths. It will show what car they are on. Then take a copy of said video and take up to the dealer and request the Owner or GM. Let him know what was said to you and what you are accused of. Ask him what he is going to do to make you happy and make up for being insulted by his bulling staff.

Or just wait for the other guy to get stopped for having stolen plates and laugh your ass off when the dealer gets sued like a MF from the guy that gets arrested for stolen plates that more than likely got yours from dealer instead of their own.

I guess I will have to make my way down to the toll company as well then. :tsk:

Sorry to hear. I would do the same you are doing. Police and toll company should get involved ASAP. A lawyer and I would go after the dealership! I would not be surprised if one of the employees is driving around with these plates.:cheers:
