Damn, the Borla S Type is growing on me but the ARH sounds perfect. How much deeper is the S Type in person? It sounds raspy in the videos.

The rasp is only when you really really get on it and at high rpms for the borla systems. But it's not a bad rasp. It's a holy shit what the ef is that coming up behind me rasp...if that makes sense. ARH w/ Hpipe from what I gather will be a more rounded, deep note that's more consistent. Can't speak of loudness of the two. Neither drone. Honestly you can go wrong with either one, you'll be smiling every time you start the car.

I have borla Atak and i think it's very manageable. Nice deep muscular growl when you want (et. everyday driving) and just screams when you're really on it. It is LOUD when you're high into the rpms, comparable to cars with headers. I think it's louder than my buddy's Raptor with full cutback. haha

I can't say I honestly remember since I didn't hear it for very long, but I distinctly remember hearing it and thinking, "damn, that sounds a lot deeper and better than what it sounds like in videos". Keep in mind also that I probably only heard it up to around 4k RPM. I can't speak to the tone in the higher RPM range.

S types aren't that deep, they sound good, we tested them on our car. Deepest sounding was SW so far, loudest is Corsa and the quietest is the Mag Streets. All of the ones we tested we liked, SW was the only one that I would consider to have slight drone, nothing obnoxious.

My hat tips to ARH.

My ARH H pipe is pretty deep with no drone.

Likewise for ours and we're running headers, zero drone. Couldn't ask for more:)

How much louder would headers with high flow cats make the exhaust? Is it a big difference, or just a little louder?

headers will always make it louder, the high flow cats vs none really don't change the tone much,

once you go header, sound will be close to the same either config.

Its louder, tone is still the same typically. Is there a big difference? Not really but.... if you're going from stock manifolds to headers and no cats, it is a difference. Headers in general sound better, better/ larger primaries provide better flow.

Just started the research for the 15 GT PP I picked up yesterday....

So I am trying to figure out, are headers worth a gain on a stk motor?
Or is it more beneficial when/if you add a blower?

Also, is there any real benefit to not using cats (High flow)?
Is there any reason to not get cats that way it would still be emission legal??
Thanks for any info

With a tune, CAI and exhaust system we gained 70hp corrected/ SAE.

Headers are a great upgrade N/A or F/I. Not just peak power but throughout the powerband.

Can you get the Magnaflow street axleback by themselves? I believe I looked all around and could not find any just by themselves...only came with the complete catback setup. Is that because they are 3" pipes?

You can get the competition as an axleback but the Streets are currently not an option.
