I am normally not a "Braker", mostly slow down early enough before I have to use my brakes. I noticed brake patterns on the rear discs now and yesterday after I hand washed my car that I got the brake noise you guys posting from the front brakes. Drove 2 hours later to my brother in-law and had the same noise. I have to test it and report it to my dealer when the car goes into the shop anyways in April.

Anybody have an update for this? 1300 miles on her today and started making the noise from, sounds like, front passager side during slow braking. GTPP.
Will remove wheels this weekend and have a look. Also felt like slight pull to right when happened. Hope not sticking Brembo.

I've been having squeaking from the brakes when I stop... Nothing like a freight train like some of you guys are describing, but definite squealing... I'm sitting at the dealership right now and they're swapping out my brake rotors and pads... They told me there was a TSB for it... But from the main brake thread I was reading on here, it sounds like the TSB is suppose to be only for standard GT brakes.. Not the PP brakes... So I have no idea if this is a new TSB or if they're going to be walking up to me any moment now telling me they made a mistake and missed the fact the TSB was for only the standard GT, not PP GT...

Thanks for sharing your info.

I bet they got things confused with non GT PP and GT PP brakes and the associated TSB.

Better make you sure you still have the 15" rotors when you get your car back and not the smaller ones for the non GT PP:D

 Hell yeah it would. Can you imagine something like that happening? You get your 6pot and 15" rotors replaced with new non GT PP setup:lol::lol:

I have to admit the most handy guy when it comes to this stuff... Exactly what should I look for when I get my car back? Is there an easy way to eyeball it to make sure they somehow didn't swap smaller rotors and pads onto mine? I've been here for a couple hours and I haven't been approached with the, "Whoops the TSB is not for the PP brakes" yet... Though I am also having them install Roush axle backs as well...

the non GT PP pads will not fit on these 6 piston Brembo's that you have. Just like the rotors, should not fit with your 6 piston Brembo's.

I would walk back to the service manager and ask them for an update and to see the actual GT PP TSB not the non GT PP TSB. Take a picture of it and post it here.

OK...so did it again...and again. 5mph or less...
Went ahead a went back to shop and pulled wheels off. Its coming from the rear brakes. Just sounds like front. Resurfacing rotors now. First was out 2th inch, drivers side, pass side is worse. Trying to find pads now.
Try this: put your hand brake on, not SUPER tight. Slowly drive forward and reverse. Did this and duplicated my FRONT brake noise. And yes, made sure hand brake wasn't on before doing this, even engaged and took back off a few times. Also going to check the hand brake adjustment. Always felt very tight.

An update on my brake situation... As we suspected, they ended up realizing their mistake that the TSB was for the 4 piston brakes and not the PP 6 Pistons... So nothing was swapped out... They said they did some cleaning and maintenance on them but I still have squealing when I brake slowly. My service guy said they were going to send up the issue to the higer ups but I doubt much will happen.

Send over your information; I'll get this to a customer service manager as well. We'll hit them from both sides. :D Just PM your VIN, mileage, name, phone number, and dealer info.

I've written about this issue several times, and when I re-torqued all the wheels (lugs nuts) to spec most of the noise went away. It still happens occasionally, but not nearly as loud as before. Torque spec is 150 ft pounds, and none of the lugs on my wheels were near this... most of them were actually below 100.

I had a scraping/squealing sound on my PP, when I was slow moving and turning to the right.

It ended up being the rotor backing plate scraping against the rotor. YMMV

Mine also just started this, only when the wheel is turned left so far. I just got transferred to a new store and I always turn left into my parking spot. Second day in a row today it has made a loud vibration below 5mph. 4900 miles

I will be taking my GT PP car in on Thursday for the 2nd time on this issue. 2 weeks ago they resurfaced the pads and rotors and the squeal/grind was gone. Now its back.

It has always sounded like its from the front passenger side. I wish we had a definitive answer on the problem or a TSB for the GT PP brakes at this point.
