What is it about the "subaruo" that makes it junk?
AWD, great weight distribution, an a solid weight to power ratio.
Just ignorant people throwing out hate about something they know nothing about.

Not offended, just stating my opinion about what you said. With opinions aside, it's all good man.

Do you at least have daily driven stickers? Or a bike rack that is never used!?!?!?
What's with the sticker thing? Are you mocking Subaru owners? :)

I ask because my coworker has some stickers on his. One is of a little alien looking guy with antenna and the Subaru logo. I forget the other.

I'd like to know whether I should mock him for it. :)

Stickers are typically an import thing. That's about it.

Haha I am just teasing my homeslices. Those are fine, its the JDM stuff that is funny. Honestly, I think I am just a hater, I don't understand putting a sticker saying daily driven on a car, or a bike rack that is never used (extra weight:shrug:), stance, dildo looking shift knobs, that sort of stuff. The STI's and WRX's are nice rides, but a zebra print fender is just weird.

Funny comments I've gotten is that only military goofs buy stangs and why is it that you cant pull a trailer with a ford, but there always parked next to one.

This was amusing to read. Generally a real car enthusiast will not hate on other cars (I'm sure that was meant towards stock or tastefully modded with the original functionality of the car in mind, ie not that stance crap or trying to make a Geo metro or equivalent a race car). That being said, I come from Honda's. I think if anyone is gonna call a car rice its that brand lol. I love Hondas but the community is full of completely biased narrow-minded retards. The STI to me was always a big contender from Japan. I personally love the sound of them and the way they drive. However, the motor is outdated. The UEL headers sound amazing but cost the engine power as the exhaust pulse causes turbulence within the exhaust slowing down flow. Idk what Subaru is going to do with the car as emissions and safety standards keep hampering performance and I don't foresee the DI 2.0 being any better than the current 2.5. All these car companies keeping trying to bump the performance on cars by slapping on DI w/ a turbo to give the car the extra torque to lug the extra weight around created by said safety and emissions standards. I personally don't think that's the answer. I think focusing on bringing the weight of the cars down while incorporating those standards would be best. FWD sportier cars have suffered the worst imo. Look at Honda for example. The si, gsr, type r's of the 90's were great even being fwd because they were lightweight and required very little torque to happily sprint about and maneuver through corners. The current si is a fat f**king pig of a car in comparison and is completely bland to drive. Honda simply threw one of their larger 2.4's into the car to lug its lard around. If the weight hadn't thrown off the handling the extra torque sure did, the front wheels are trying to power and turn, physics doesn't like it. Sorry for the rant...I would just like to see a break through in engineering and not the same band aids being reapplied.

Love the sound of the Subie boxer 4. Coworker has one with an aftermarket exhaust and it sounds bitchin at track days. Sorta like a WWII fighter plane flying by. I do wish the engine was a bit more modern. Definitely found lots of negative stories when I was researching getting one.

Don't even get me started on Honda. They pretty much peaked with the S2000 and it's been all downhill from there. Hopefully the new NSX will help them get their mojo back, but unfortunately it is paving the way for hybrid sports cars, and I'm not sure I could ever look at one without thinking how much better it would be if you just eliminated the weight of the motor and batteries.

Anyhow, the new STI seems to be a great car, but I prefer the GT.
