I'm looking to get a catback system ordered this week in preparation of getting my GT on 5/1 and wanted to get some opinions of this comparison.

I'm loving the sound of the MBRP race (and even street tbh) system but the S-Type and Atak sound good as well. The MBRP price is about half the price of what the Borla systems would cost but is the quality and sound that much different? The X-pipe on the Borla's does have much of a raspy tone to them in the videos I have watched.

I would opt for the Borla Ataks or the S types if I had to choose.

Mbrp fitment is fine and sound great. All you're paying for is pipes that make noise and give little to no performance. I went mbrp cuz it was cheaper and sounded just as nice. I am glad I didn't spend double the price for something doing the same thing.

I have the MBRP blacked our race system. Great quality and fitment, great sound but there is some drone around 1700 rpm or so. If you can deal with that then it is perfect, especially for the price.

If you ever make it down to Richmond, I want to hear it

I want that combo (maybe 3'') when I get a 15/16.

I actually picked my GT up from Sheehy in Richmond, nice little 90 minute drive for me.

Went with the MBRP Race here and no regrets; Great fitment, sound and looks for half the price of other catback systems

A may need to hear this in person.
Where ya at? I'm in Centreville. Been looking for some S550 buddies, only a couple that I've been in contact with around here.

I'm ok with drone. I used to have an 08 GT with boom tubes that had some low end drone to them. I'm looking at the black race series as well. Do you have any pictures your setup?

If your planning on headers in the future the mbrp street might be perfect so it's not overly loud. If not the race is plenty loud and half the price. Here is my setup

Looks good! The tips really fill out the back end.

Is that a CO or RR? I ordered a RR but they both look similar in some pics.

I went with the mbrp race ss it was on sale for under $600 (like $595) for the money it is a great set up. If i had $1200 that i just had to spend i would have gotten the corsa extreme .
