Well I can agree with that, you should be able to disable it if you don't want it. Even if the reason is crazy.I understand that might not make sense to everyone, especially if you're used to locked doors and don't mind it.
I know very well I can open the door at any time, but I'm still locked in, or like you might want to put it, everyone else is locked out. I do not want that.
This is nothing we need to haggle over; of course people will feel different, like on most subjects. Since people do always want different things, it's good if there are options. And in this case there is no easy way to disable the auto-lock.
