Trying to figure out the stickiest rubber I can get for stock 20" wheels.

I've heard good things have 315/35/20 Nitto NT05R, but would like some other input from people. I'd love to go to a 17 if I can find one that doesn't look jank.

Stock 20 inch wheels are only 9 inches wide, I wouldn't put anything bigger than a 265, maybe a 275 at most on that...

I thought they were 9.5 for some reason.

Theres also some threads of some guys over on SVTP putting 315s on stock 20s that came with the GT500s, so I figured it'd work. I guess those are 9.5 actually.

Okay then, stickiest tire I can put on a 9"?
I really love these wheels, so I would prefer not getting rid of them haha.

I did put a MT 305/35/20 on mine, there is a little bulge but it works.

You got some choice !

If your using stock 20" wheels then I would say

Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G2 305/35/20
Mickey Thomspon Street Comp 305/35/20

These buldge a bit but its ok

If your ok to go wider then

315/35/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport
315/35/20 NItto NT05R
315/35/20 Vredestein Sessanta

Looks great, you've got a sweet set-up there my friend.

What kind of drop are you on? Looks like Eibach Sportsline. Also what are you running for tires up front? Is the handling/tracking still relatively good with the tire combo?

I bought the Mickey Thompson street comps in size 285s... They were poor for traction. I only had a tune,x pipe on 13 GT..I would not buy again.. Looks at the rs3 from Hankook

Shame you have to stick with 20" wheels; Hoosier only makes up through 19".

Thanks. That is the Eibach Prokit, the front are stock 265/35/20 in that pic.
I drove it 150 miles round trip yesterday to the track drives perfect.
Here is my set up now,
Foose Outcast 20x8.5/20x10 with 275/35/20 - 305/35/20

The Ventus RS3 are more of an AutoX than a straight line tire.
I love them, but keep the intended use in mind.
