How is the plate bracket faring this time around?

That mount is on my short list of things to get before my car lands.....
No problems now - they key was to use the adhesion promoter. Craig worked diligently with me to ensure the base was up to spec. There is adhesion promoter on the tape that attaches to the base.

I also think I benefited from getting the temperature on the front bumper up with the space heater. I've had the car out when it's been under 0 deg F and up to the current 50 deg F with no problems. I've driven it at highway speeds up to 80 mph (passing those trucks so they don't flip road debris :) ).

I am very satisfied with the product, the price, and the support I received to make sure everything was OK. I would heartily endorse this bracket to anyone looking to have their plate mounted in the bumper area for which it is designed.

TRIP TO DETROIT THIS WEEKEND - Oil Level & Fuel Economy

At around 2800 miles, oil level was looking the same as last check...no apparent drop off in the amount, and still well within the normal range.

The computer came up with 26.7 avg MPG during the 4 hour commute north, starting from a full tank and 95% highway driving. Coming back, it was at 25.7. I'll post the hand calculated numbers later.

So far, still good.

I now have just over 4470 miles with no issues to report. I've been daily driving it, except for a week when the snow and cold was heavy duty. I worked from home on those days :)

Oil level check shows still between the dots.

While a number of folks remove the sound tube, I don't expect to remove the one in my car because I do appreciate the effect. I am thinking of an exhaust system change with the MRT H-pipe resonator delete and an axleback (probably also from MRT). I'd like just a bit deeper tone and a bit more volume, although I admit for a daily driver, I am enjoying a quieter experience.

I recently installed the FRPP x pipe, with stock mufflers...sounds like you are looking for a nice balance, to my ears the sound is absolutely perfect...aggressive when you want it to be, super quiet when you are just cruising.

Any videos of your set up on your car? And yes, I am all about the balance. I am getting old :)

I really like the tone of that system. I've had other MRT exhaust systems on previous cars ('03 Mach 1, '10 GT) and absolutely loved the way they sound.

You and me both brother :)

Don't have any videos, quality not good off my phone. I know there are a few good videos out there.

Tony.. Have you (you most likely have) checked the frpp x-pipe with resonator delete vid? To me that seems to add just enough muscle. I'm waiting for a while to see if the car gets a bit "more powerful" sounding after some driving. (Still only 600 miles)
I love how the x-pipe seems to smooth out the exhaust pulses and add a more "refined" sound (for lack of a better term) without necessarily making the car much "louder." From your post it sounds as if you wouldn't want to make the car tedious daily, and at my age (52) I can relate.

Oops. Someone already suggested this. Oh well.. Another vote

Thanks! Yes, indeed I have heard them. I am generally a fan of the H-pipe configuration because of the deeper tones they are supposed to bring. Currently, I am considering an MRT H-pipe resonator delete and MRT axlebacks. I think I have to go custom on the axlebacks unless they wind up offering them as a standard product.

I also likely will get just the axlebacks first to change the tone, then go for the resonator delete for a little more volume. I also might just get the resonator delete and keep the stock mufflers.

I must admit that I like the stock volume levels, but would not mind it turned up just a bit and with a slightly deeper tone. However, for a daily driver, I am liking a mellow exhaust somewhat. Haha!

Some final low light shots...I hope the weather holds so I can get a more in brighter light tomorrow. I also hope to report on the fuel economy of my first tank of 93 octane gas, which I put in it as the first fill-up after getting the car from the dealership.
Tony
those are great photographs from November
Down here at the bottom of the world in New Zealand I am waiting for my rhd Mustang due about November
I took a punt on Magnetic but its been hard to get an appreciation of its true tone because the various photographs of car shows etc vary so much due to artificial lighting, sun, shade, aspects etc
Also the dealers don't have any rhd demonstators either
I was tossing up with yellow v magnetic but your photos are a real help
look forward to another update from you

Many thanks

Hi, Phil! I think you will appreciate Magnetic in all its various tones based on the lighting. I found it to be a sophisticated color that really shows wonderfully when clean but doesn't get terribly bad when dirty.

I hope that you get your car and it is everything you hope it will be. I have enjoyed the daily driving experience very much. What are you planning to order for options?

OIL LEVEL CHECK - 5364 miles

Oil is still betweeen the dots on the dipstick, although it looks like it was a bit closer to the bottom one. I plan to get the oil analyzed when it is changed.

Ford NZ gave us options of fastback v convertible, full colour range, auto v manual engine choice was either the V8 or the four cylinder, it seems that Ford US isn.t exporting the V6 anywhere or certainly not to the rhd countries.
All upholstery was black leather for everybody with no choice. I want the performance package but Ford NZ seem to be unsure about whether its automatically included or not and the same confusion seems to be reigning in Australia. Wheels are 19"in either black or silver/nickel
Ford NZ are talking about some local aftermarket options being available and sponsored by them with no warranty confusion, but when you can tell everyone what the price is, you' think they would know what they are delivering?
The logic by Ford NZ seems to be to provide the highest spec options automatically as a marketing ploy and also to make ordering/delivery as simple as possible
Certainly the vehicle seems to be spec'd as the premium version not the basic.
Time will tell but when we've all waited this long a few more months won't hurt
I am interested though to find out when Flat Rock announce they are starting RHD assembly and will they be able to do LHD and RHD in the factory at the same time
Hope that Magnetic is starting to shine in your spring weather
best wishes
