Thanks. My fuel tank is almost empty so I'm going to run a bottle of Chevron Techron through it for safe measures. but I put on 85 miles since I picked up my car from the dealer after they replaced the spark plugs and there's no CEL. Still too early to say..

Does your code reader show all the monitors to be ready? I drove a solid 50 miles yesterday both city and highway
No, EVAP & O2 were incomplete. I have no idea how to get those damn things to complete!

My cel didn't come on today when I started the car at lunch. It was on this morning and had been on since Monday night after I picked it up from my dealer. The service guy said it may come back on. He told me to drive it while Ford comes up with a fix. Drove about 90 miles between Monday and today. Didn't do anything to it, not even add gas.

Mine was on all last week and the night before I dropped it off at the dealership it went off. So I don't know it comes and goes I guess.

Roidrage, the monitors come on based on how you drive I think. I remember for some cars you have to drive at 65mph or so for 10 miles, stop, and then do a whole bunch of stuff, which would happen incidentally over time I guess.
I'll check my monitors.

I've driven over 70MPH for extended periods since the reset on the freeways. Is it better to scan after a long drive or right after a cold start?

Check engine light back. Cold start is rough. 105 miles after dealer service.

It is really a pain in the ass to take it to the dealer. I have go early in the morning, wait and the rental place doesn't open to 9. Take a shuttle to the rental place, wait 15-3 mins cause it's always packed. Same process returning the car.

I'm going to try a bottle of fuel injector cleaner.

Not what I wanted out of a new car experience.

I wouldn't let it drive me crazy. If it runs smooth enough to drive after warm-up I'd drive it until Ford comes up with a fix. I can't imagine all of Ford engineering can't figure this out.

I put another 30 Miles on yesterday, but I still cant for the life of me get the EVAP system to complete its check (maybe this is the culprit?). But still no CEL. Did my first 1K oil change to Motul 5w40 and my god the engine revs and feels so much better. That OEM oil is garbage, I strongly suggest everyone swap that crap out and put in some quality oil.

Picked up the car from the dealer today. I was told by the service advisor that no attempt was made to repair the CEL because, OASIS says not to troubleshoot. This was my third time taking it into the dealer for the CEL.

I also reported the squeaking of the brakes on the car and they are going to replace the brakes once they get the parts in. They say the parts are backordered for another month. Let's see how that goes! They had my car for five days and didn't even bother to diagnose it!

This is the most disappointed I've ever been with any car purchase and I've purchased a lot of new cars. I purchase a new car about every two years. This is probably the last Ford I will ever buy!

Hey spdracer50,

Have you kept in contact with the CSM? It looks like she reached out via email the other day. I was just wondering if you received that. She may be able to further assist with the part delay.

Hi Jeff,

I just sent her an email today. I'm not sure that she's been much help. How long are we supposed to wait for a fix?

Honestly, I'm frustrated with Ford right now. I've never owned a car that's gone to the dealer so many times before it even hits a thousand miles. I think the dealer has spent more time with car than I have. This has taken all the fun out of buying a new car!

How is Ford going to compensate us for all these issues?

That's funny and I doubt they will do anything of the sort.

I hear what you're saying. PM me on Monday if you haven't heard back from the CSM. I'll look into it further.

Hi Jeff,

.........
How is Ford going to compensate us for all these issues?
I know what you are saying but.......

Ford gives customers nothing. Why should they? I have no faith that customers who buy brand new cars getting any compensation from FORD. They aren't better than any other company. They are happy to have our money and that's it. I am sure somewhere they have a written statement that customers can't blame them for lack of quality.

But again. Every company is happy that now, younger people do not care about craftsmanship anymore and throw away newly bought products were they figure out, they don't work and buy a different product.
Most comments you get after someone complains about poor craftsmanship is: A) Trade your car in. B) He is a TROLL C) F@#$* off.
Most parts in modern cars are made in China because companies don't like to pay for quality. I wouldn't be surprised if the wiring harness for the 2.3 EcoBoost engine is made from the same company who made the faulty once for the 2.0 EcoBoost. Maybe it is the same part number?!

People have to file for "lemon law" already because FORD isn't stepping in on their own. (Sorry @ Jeff!) Reading that members have to visit 2-4 different dealers to get their issues looked at isn't right! FORD should advise every dealer that they have to fix these issues right away.

Ford should actually PAY the customers $100 per hour if they can't use the brand new car or buy the car including ESP and interest dollar by dollar back.

But maybe we are lucky to get a free shirt? (Made in China.....)

*FIAT, send us a $200 voucher to buy MOPAR products because we have already the 8th recall on our JEEP. I have no idea how many weeks our JEEP GC was already in the shop. Wiring (Fire hazard), alternator, (Fire hazard) water pump (leaking/ noise) etc. you name it. We got the JEEP GC in July 2013.
I am lucky to get a ride home after I dropped off the JEEP again. Would have JEEP/ Chrysler send a voucher? IMHO - I don't think they would have.

Cars build today with pride? I have no idea what car companies mean with that but I am sure it doesn't mean the same what the dictionary describes.

Well said sir. Especially having an online presence such as Jeff here, yet nothing is truly communicated or done better/ more efficient.

Has anyone seen a P061B error yet. I have been getting this one recently and wonder if it falls in the same boat as everyone else. I don't want to waste time at the dealer if they don't have a solution yet.
