Thinking about wrapping bottom side skirts

Thanks for the comments. I doubt a would do a different color, but it not white then maybe a carbon fiber vinyl wrap.

REAL carbon fiber parts on a car are used for its extreme light weight and strength. And is VERY expensive. Wrapping fake stuff or otherwise using stick on fake carbon fiber, adds weight...defeats the actual real use and intentions of carbon fiber and instantly makes you recognizable as a poser!
(Also, fake stick on chrome vents found in the Autozone accessory aisle are super stupid too)
*ebay and jcwhitney are also poor choices for quality mods on a $30k car.

Some people like the way Carbon Fiber looks, some don't, I take it you don't. Not everyone does it for the weight loss. I'm not a fan of fake CF or fake chrome...but if they do...what are they posing on????

if you want carbon fiber, get the 3D carbon kit which cost around 2.5k. Hydro-dipping looks ok under the hood, but everywhere else just looks cheap. Its completely flat looking and anyone know what real CF is can spot it right away. personally I won't even put a hydro-dipped CF phone case on my phone.

I definitely wouldn't do white, but you might consider having them painted with a flex-primer and gloss-black to match the body color

I beg to differ than dipped CF looks flat, especially considering that real carbon fiber is also flat. What makes it look deep and wet is the clear. We have a company that does our hydro-dipping that not only dips the pieces but also preps and clears the pieces to give the finish its depth as if it were CF. Check out the pieces I have done in my car, none are flat looking. It may not be everyone's cup of tea and thats understandable, but a lot of the bad wrap(pun intended) is due to fact that is very easy to do at home in a bath tub and everyone thinks they can do it. (Note: Vinyl wrapping and Hydro-dipping are two different processes. Vinyl wrapped CF is almost impossible to get it to look realistic, at least that I have seen until now. Actually Vinyl Wrapped CF looks more like actual CF before it is cleared.)

Hell I don't know about you, but every real CF usually has crappy fitment and you have to worry about breaking it everywhere you go(ie. front lips)(I have seen more than a fair share of corvettes leave there $1800 CF Lips in the middle of major Miami streets after hitting a bump in the road). The dipped equivalent can be made to look just as good, and it fits like stock because it is stock, and if it breaks, most oem plastic pieces arent terribly expensive.


Back to the OP. Not white that is for sure. Maybe Body Color would look good.

$30k car isn't impressive to me. Sorry.

Dipped parts are right up its alley if thats what the owner wants.

$90k car?
$120k car? Ok, now we are talking, where it should be used.

My f150 was $50k..... And it's just a truck. Nothing impressive
