Thinking about pulling my OEM side skirts off and painting them to match the car or possibly doing them in a gloss black to match my PP wheels. Has anyone done this already?

Not my skill set, but I've thought that this was great idea!
The rocker side skirts should have come painted body color or black from the factory.
I've also considered installing some of multiple carbon fiber replacement pieces that are available for the front splitter, fog light bezels, side skirts, and premium bumper trim.

My 2014 had painted side skirts stock but honestly I prefer the textured black plastic because the paint chips a lot even after just a few thousand miles. If mine start looking crappy I'll spray them with truck bed liner.

Then a bunch of you would have to pay to make them black like the badges. ;)

I actually like that their not painted so you don't have to deal with chips and road rash. I have painted side skirts, rear fascia, and splitter on my Sky roadster and I'm always fixing chips, especially on the splitter. I pretty much have to re-paint every year.

To me if you paint the black plastic side skirts the same color of the car, the car then looks like it has no bottom if that makes any sense, lol
