Kinda funny and ironic story here!
So im on my way to the store to get some drinks and get some stick practice on the empty roads as its my first stick and only my second time driving the car.
Im going down the road and i see hazard lights on the cars coming the other way. I pulled over and stopped to ask what was going on and im told a mustang is on the loose running down the road. I pull back out and continue on my trip and sure enough there it is a mustang trotting down the road Behind a car in the lane and everything as if it were a car! I couldnt help but think how hilarious and awesome it was to see the other kind of stang trotting down the road while i learn to tame mine. Anyways hope you guys get a kick out of this like i did.
Take care

Right on, I love sd. I spent my summers with my cousins down there, rancho Bernardo, poway, mt. Woodson, and finally pacific beach. Also have some of my best teenage memories learning to surf and enjoying the scenery in del mar... :headbang:

I had a much more unsettling night out cruising in the new stang. Went up a fun mountain rd that takes you from my neighborhood up into the redwoods and emptys out in Oakland where I normally would hop right on a freeway and jet home. Half way through my fuel light turns on. DOH! I decide to just look for gas when I get into oakland hills. I grab my phone to look for the nearest gas station. It had 10% when I hit the road, it's dead, was searching for signal during the trip through the mountains. Turns out the neighborhood seems too nice to have a gas station open at this hour so I continue nervously idling along further down into Oakland. There are bars on the windows of every single building at this point. I finally see a gas station and feel relieved until I take a closer look. It's dimly lit, there are transients everywhere with only one car pulled in, and no cops in sight. No, I'm not setting myself up for being surrounded. I keep idling along through east Oakland and west Oakland, making my way towards the airport. I do see a couple of cops, I felt like I was trolling them. Finally, a well lit gas station at a busy intersection by the airport, the closest safe area that I knew would have a gas station in full operation. I filled her up and hit the rd, feeling very thankful that I didnt run out of gas deep in the middle of the hood with a brand new flashy car, a dead cell phone, and unarmed.

I think I'll pay closer attention to the gas gauge from now on.

Thats quite the nerveracking experience you had there! I would have done the same thing! Im glad you were able to make it to a suitable gas station safely :)
Speaking of cops, i had one parked next to my car staring at it when i got out of the store. I dont blame him though, its hard not to stare, and hey, he was looking for a runaway mustang! Hahaha

Nice story!

I'm sorry, but I have to be "that guy". You experienced coincidence, not irony.

Am I the only one who noticed this part of the story?

So im on my way to the store to get some drinks and get some stick practice on the empty roads as its my first stick and only my second time driving the car.
If you are an inexperienced manual driver, I'd suggest that after a few drinks, while you may feel like you are shifting like Ken Block, you are probably doing more damage to your clutch than good.

Should have turned on the Mustangs that project out the bottom of the outside mirrors and let that horse trot along with them too. :)
