Hey guys,

Our engineering team is working on an awesome aluminum expansion tank for the 2015 Mustang. Removing the unsightly plastic stock unit is a wise upgrade in terms of engine bay styling as well as component longevity.

We are at the point where deciding upon the finish of the expansion tank is necessary. We are reaching out to the folks here on 6G to see exactly what finish options you folks would prefer on such a product.

Please cast your vote or recommend any additional finish you would like to see! Below is a look at our current plans for the Mishimoto expansion tank design.

Thanks!

I like the idea of a low profile design
if you look at the ProCharger tank its lower than stock which is appealing to me.
The Moroso also has an angled front section which appears lower than oem but most likely is the same overall height.

Just an opinion - the designs that are straight up in the front seem really tall and out of place like the OEM bubble

I vote for a wrinkle black as well.

I like the aluminum best, there's enough black in the bay why have more?

I agree with you 100%. To me most what's out there are too tall and look as bad/worse than OEM.

Too bad the 2014 tank can't be used. I much prefer the profile of that one. What's underneath there that requires the tank to sit so high?

Either aluminum or wrinkle black.

You guys are going to need a master thread soon linking to all your R&D posts so we can keep track.
