Does Ford ship cars on weekends?

Anybody have any idea if Ford ships cars on weekends? or is there no point in checking COTUS till Monday if it didn't change to "In Transit" today.

I read long ago that loading and shipping is a 7 day job. Don't count your beans on that though.

Yes sir. Carriers even deliver on holidays. They normally unload the cars behind the dealership and drop the keys in the service slot.

Trains and trucks don't stop for the weekends. Once the car is released for shipping it's not Ford moving it, a shipping contractor takes over. If nothing is moving they don't make money.

This thread itself is very interesting... a few days ago (3 to be exact) COTUS said 9 days to delivery. I checked the next day, and it said 1 day to delivery. When I checked yesterday, it said 0 days to delivery, and listed the EDD as today (a Saturday). I found it strange the EDD was on a weekend. That being said, I know my dealership is open, I will be camping out today waiting for the truck to make its entrance..

Different group of people. Shipping at factory versus the company that delivers. But you're right. Most delivery companies run 24/7.

I'm pretty certain factory loading is 7 days a week but I don't know about 24 hours a day or not. Dunno what kind of shift or schedule they work. Not even sure if they are part of same union as auto builders. No telling where the job split from one to the other happens. Heck, it may even be contracted out.

My car was delivered on a Sunday. My dealership was closed, but the car was delivered anyway. yes, delivery is a 7 day job.

They probably don't load the carriers on Sundays from Flat Rock, but once its loaded, nothing stops them. They are driving 7 Days a week, 365 days a year.

It seems Ford won't ship my car on a weekend nor on weekdays (37 days still waiting for Transit).
