DIB in short supply?

I have been looking for the perfect DIB or Ruby Red...it seems like in Georgia and the Carolinas, the DIB' s are in short supply, I search for GT premiums and only come up with a few...less than 10, but there are tons of other colors.

Anybody else have a DIB shortage or any info why?

Have you checked Sandy Springs in GA? They always have DIB in stock.

It seems to be a relatively rare color on the Mustang. I have a DIB GT on order and I have never seen one in the sunlight. I saw a rental-spec V6 in the shade and a stripped GT at dusk but none during the day. I think the first time I will is when I take delivery, which I am okay with.

There haven't been any constraints from the factory on DIB paint. DIB has been the best selling '15 Mustang color for my dealership since day one, followed closely by black. Great looking color, but I am biased having owned 4 blue Mustangs personally!

Dealer order what they like... If they have people asking for DIB then they will order more in the mix. Ford does not have a limit on this color option. At my dealership (in Arizona) we have found that RR, MM, CO and OW are the most popular. Darker colors are a harder sell when temps get north of 100*

Maybe it has to do with production runs and there hasn't been a wave of DIB for a while.

I have a GT Premium in DIB and LOVE it.

Cant wait to get mine back tomorrow. My car was build 11/19 and this will only be the second time I've seen her in the sun. and over time I've seen it for less then 10 minutes in the sun. Never seen her in the sun in my driveway. Hope they keep, keeping off the lots. New Blue I hope for 16.

Although I got mine fairly early (December 4th delivery), my dealer (the sales manager), said he hadn't seen any Guard Metallic Mustangs until he saw mine, and said now that he's seen it he was going to order more in that color... I think the black wheels sold him. I said "no you shouldn't do that, so mine will be more rare". Laughs all around! :cheers:

I passed a DIB Taurus on the highway a couple days ago and it was glorious. I cannot wait for this car.

DIB looks very similar to the Avus Blue of my E36 BMW. A lovely colour when polished and sitting in the sun.
