If the question about air bag deployment is about the passenger glove box airbag, there is youtube video showing how the glove box airbag looks when deployed: no more than a small white cushion! Not a large erupted balloon! I was surprised when I saw the video, I was expecting a regular bag balloon. The Ford rep explained that the air bag cushion didn't have to be as big as the other air bags because it was just trying to stop the passenger's legs not a heavy torso or to cushion a head. The above video shows the white glove box air bag cushion expanded slightly out from the lower dash...which it would if it were deployed. The 'tech' was correct...not the owner!

Thats what I thought it was suppose to do as well. Maybe pop out a little bit more but I think its suppose to act more like cushion for your knees.

Deployment is based on the weight in the seat during impact... there probably wasnt anyone in the seat...waste of 41 seconds of my life

1) Car owner and person filming should be slapped for recording in portrait mode.

2) Maybe owner should get more info before going off the deep end and harassing a guy that doesn't know jack shit.
I didn't plan on recording it, But after he told me he didn't know what the airbag is supposed to do or whether it deployed, I began recording on the quickness.

I was not trying to talk down on him, He works at the service department of a Ford dealership and he wanted to diagnose the issue for me, Why would I pay someone to diagnose it if they already told me they don't even know how an airbag functions properly?

My friend was sitting in the passenger seat, He's 6'3" 255lbs. I would think that's enough.

The driver side knee airbag did indeed deploy.

Doesn't look deployed. Looks more like it has half way separated from one corner of the glove box structure.

The drivers airbag didn't deploy so why would this.

He wants Ford to replace it even though he was in an accident, come on. If this is a defect Ford needs to be made aware though. Probably better ways to go about this than trying multiple dealers.

I agree with you to a certain point, However it's supposed to fully inflate. Not inflate on 1 end less than half way and stop.

Like I said in the video, The sensor decides whether the impact was hard enough to go off or not, Not whether it should deploy 10% or 100%.

I could care less about whether they want to repair the airbag for me or not, I just want it out there that the airbags are not deploying correctly.

This is not the only 2015 GT that has had this problem, In the main thread I posted a picture of a mustang in a worse state than mine, That had no airbags deploy at all. I already submitted a complaint to the correct agency and that is all that matters to me.
