2.3 Ford racing Wipple blower

Have someone trying to sell me a 2.3 Ford racing blower, throttle body nd two pulleys for 1500.00. He said he bought it new and had it installed on a 2012 for 2k miles. Good deal? He said he made 630 to the wheels. Direct fit on a 15? What else would I need to buy? Doing some research now, just figured I would ask you guys here as well. TIA!

You would need the entire rest of the kit. Intake, intercoolers, heat exchanger, wiring, piping, pumps, relays, drive systems, pulleys, belt, plugs, tuner, fittings, tubing, inlet pipe. A blower head for Shelby is about 3k. Whole kit is 6700$ish. So basically you need about 3700$ worth of stuff that's sold as a kit. Bought separately, if you could even find it, price is probably at least 25% more than kit price, probably closer to 50% more. That's 4600 to 5500 more money you would have to put into it. Remember, these are items built for a kit that are very very very uncommonly sold stand alone so finding them will be near impossible. So basically, you've spent 6100$ to 7000$ and spent hours and hours tracking down some 200ish highly specialized parts that may not even be attainable in order to save money, which you won't.

In short, not worth it unless you have the other stuff. Someone with either a while kit and a trashed head unit or a terminator or gt500, tha would be a very good deal for an upgrade over stock.

Sure thing

You can always try calling vmp tuning. They build their own kits (he has ties to roush) and may can set you up for a price that is agreeable to you. But I really don't suspect you will see a huge savings over a whole kit, especially with the irritation factor thrown in.
