I know mustangs and superchargers go hand in hand, buuuuuut.....
How about a turbo? I know for the S197 there were turbo kits by a couple of different companies. I know most of the die-hards consider turbos as "ricey" but I dig them. Anybody hear any news that somebody might come out with a kit? A twin turbo purge at a stoplight before you "smoke a fool" has to be fun and a little intimidating.

(Hopefully the townspeople don't grab their torches and pitchforks because of my damnable and heretical ideas)

There is nothing rice about a twin turbo mustang. I've had one and also a twin turbo lightning (351w) and they are awesome!! I would take the turbo over the supercharger all day, but I don't want to go that deep on this car.

Twin turbo v-8's are great!!!!!!

Dafuq? Turbos are very popular with the mustang crowds. The majority of the 8-second drag cars and all of the 7-second drag cars run turbos IIRC. Where did this idea come from that turbos are ricey?

The only thing that is ricey IMO is a bunch of cheap add-on exterior mods meant to make the car look like a racecar but with no performance enhancements to back it up.

Same here. I'm going the SC route but if I truly wanted sick power I'd go to better internals and a single or dual turbo.

You went with the MT-82, a power adder is not an option for you.

What? Somebody reads too many Internet forums and takes the word of few as gospel.

Hey, I have some ocean front property in Nebraska I'll sell you.

Turbo's and Mustangs are one in the same almost now days.

Nothing like a car that is quite as stock, but has 1200rwhp from a set of twins.....

Coming from a guy who was suckered into thinking the le was something special.......

I take forum members experienced seriously, learning from others mistake is good for the wallet.

It's his daily piece of the ani-MT-82 campaign that's been going on for weeks. Have to get used to it.

You talking about me? Suckered? Uh no, I drive and mod my LE. I didn't pay adm for it and the dealership offered it to me. It's a gt mustang that is loaded which is what I wanted, and was the first 15 I the area, which is also what I wanted. And, I've got a v8. Or do you have to have a v6 if you really want performance?

And I am a forum member. I've had two mt82's. One stood up to 585 whp for 36k miles with NO mods. No fluid change, shifter bracket, nothing. The other had no issues either but never was modded. Or do you only listen to forum members experiences that are negative? I'll bet you're a real hoot to be around.

Little advice, sport. Don't take what you read on the internet too seriously. One guy with a keyboard and a grudge can make a non issue seem huge.

No I don't actually. There is the ignore option. And obviously has nothing useful to add to any conversation here if his first response is bashing someone's choice of car instead of giving proof of his side. Thanks though. :)

Of course ! I am sure your dealer wouldn't let you leave until you took their le for less than base 6cyl mustang msrp.
I have a 4cyl for performance.

You made the mistake of purchasing TWO mt82s...at least you got it right the third time. some learn slower than others it's not your fault.

585whp is nothing compared to what the 6r80 is
holding. I still own an mt82, I will be the first to tell you it's a heap of shhhh.
Don't get too caught up in your feelings freak, this is after all just a forum.
