That paper filter is not really a comparison in either surface area or cfm. Plus the k&n is oiled, which will not absorb water in the same way at all.

I'm not in Canada, but it was -8 F here the other day and my car had 0 problems...

Question: Since this kit doesnt have any kind of heat shield, so when you're sitting at a light or whatever...isnt the heat from the closed engine hood being distributed into the intake?

Check out the first link in my signature, you will see we did IAT testing with our intake. If you check out the first intake with heatshield/box that we fabricated and tested, it had the highest IAT's and performed the worst. The heatshields really hold heat around the inlet of the intake and we decided against it.

Wireless - Yours is being custom powdercoated white, if I'm not mistaken (hard to keep track of names to screenames). It is going to be back from coating tomorrow or Monday. I'll get it shipped out same day!

Thanks. You indirectly answered a question that I had asked someone earlier today. I was wondering if FedEx delivered on Saturdays and I was thinking that they did but no one could confirm it.
