Don't sweat it...they're pretty quick. I did get in on the presale price though. So mine was one of the first to go out. :clap2:

Are you the first EBM that Panda is e-tuning? Keep us updated on that, please.

Question: Since this kit doesnt have any kind of heat shield, so when you're sitting at a light or whatever...isnt the heat from the closed engine hood being distributed into the intake?

The heat shield on other intakes is there to block the heat from the filter. The filter on the MAP, FFTEC, and MMR are all in the fender well. No need for a heat shield.

So you're saying that the heat from the engine doesn't make its way to the open fender well?

It might to an extent. Once u start driving again and getting airflow into the fender well, the temps will settle back down to ambient or 1° above it (in my experience).

My intake temps are usually about 2 degrees above ambient. Driving, sitting still, whatever. We'll see what happens when the weather warms up.

I don't think you'll see any difference between the fender and the sealed or heat shielded intakes. Maybe someone with a JLT or Airraid can provide their observation on IAT.

Edit: my IATs were the same with the stock intake as well.

As far as IATs, the stock and MAP is comparable. I think the stock box dropped back to ambient slightly faster once I started moving, but the MAP gets back and always stays within 1° on the shown ambient temp. The only place is could see it being a factor is if you're sitting for an extended period of time, then go to drag racing someone. In that scenario, I'd want the IATs to get back to ambient or near it as quickly as possible. That'd be the only slight advantage I'd see from a sealed box design.

I don't think I'm the first or only one tuning with Panda, but I know they just got the software not too long ago and we're taking it slowly. I will definitely keep a thread up on the tuning. In fact I'm doing the tuning on completely stock car, so I still haven't even put this cai on it yet ;)
