I’d consider preemptive performance of TSB-22-2140. Ask me why, lol. It covers a loosened trans output shaft flange nut that allows the tone ring to wobble and transmit erroneous speed readings. These cause surging, hesitation that will usually occur after you’ve had some fun at the upper end of the tach . Or, just wait to see if it happens.

I purchased a 2016 GT350 Track Pack in July with 1,100 miles and have done the following in preparation for driving enjoyment:

New engine oil, filter and coolant
New tranny fluid
New rear end fluid
New brake fluid
New Michelin Sports
Steeda Overflow Tank
Ford Racing passenger side blow by canister
XPEL Ultimate film on grill, hood, fenders, mirrors and rocker panels

What additional items should I review and/or replace? One thought is suspension bushings.

If you don't mind sharing what did the xpel end up costing? Considering have something similar done but finding prices has been hard so I have no idea what to expect

Having it done here in SoCal cost $2,800, including tax. I did not shop around for a better price as I had a car done by this shop about 10 years ago and was very happy. Good luck with your search.

This reminds me that there were a number of TSB's for the early GT350's. One that applied to 2016's (mine included) was replacing an engine oil cooler line that might pop out of the fitting on the oil filter housing. THAT one is important. Other than that, there have been more - mine was just at the dealer for two recalls - one was the backup camera and the other was seat belt bolts.

Also, the early 2016's had problems with the front splitter coming off because dealer techs doing predelivery work wouldn't bother with all the screws underneath, thinking it was just trim. At about 90MPH it would detach and fall down under the belly, dragging along the road.

You might want to pop by a dealer and make sure your factory stuff - TSB's and recalls etc - are up to date.

When I took it to dealer for all the fluid replacements they said previous owner had taken care of all TSBs.
Previous owner only put 1,100 miles on the car and did not have the splitter pieces installed. I did the install and took care of all fasteners. Reminds me of when I took my 2005 Ford GT for its first early morning speed run. At 120 a loud flapping/pounding sound came on. Scared the crap out of me. When I got it home and got under the car I saw what you described. The center fasteners for the splitter were not installed!
