I’d consider preemptive performance of TSB-22-2140. Ask me why, lol. It covers a loosened trans output shaft flange nut that allows the tone ring to wobble and transmit erroneous speed readings. These cause surging, hesitation that will usually occur after you’ve had some fun at the upper end of the tach 😎. Or, just wait to see if it happens.
