Just picked up mine yesterday. Panels are perfect. Everything opens
and closes as they should and I can't be happier.
I think you should order and enjoy the fun!

I am having 0 issues with mine. The 3rd light is a little off but the rest of the body panels are great. The manual if fine goes into the gears when I need them to.

I think a lot of the transmission problems are a result of people not knowing how to shift, like cruising at 80 and dropping it into 2nd over an extended period.

If you want to drive a bit you might not need to order one. I would look up to 4 hours away and I bet you'll find something very close if not exactly like what you want. I know in the Louisville area there's at least 75 mustangs on dealer lots around here. I'm sure there's 100's more in Florida.

My advice;

Spend less time on the internet, go to dealer(s), and look at the panel fitment of the cars on the lot. Don't worry about the desk jockeys and boys crying wolf all day long. Go find out for yourself what you think about the assembly quality of these cars. Drive a couple different ones if you can and feel for yourself how they shift, what they sound like. Are they hard to shift? Does it sound like a grenade with the pin pulled? Or no, everything is fine after all.

So yeah that's all I have to say about that.

Whatever you do, I hope you find the right course of action for you.

I'm over the honeymoon phase of my car. My opinion? Wait for 2016 at least. I'm sure more problems will probably pop up.

That's why after all the internet and news hype for the '15, I'm waiting for 2016-17. If not for more potential problems to pop up and long-term reports, for the chance that more color options and minor changes/improvements could happen in the next two years. Staring at pictures and watching videos should hopefully last me the wait. :headbonk:

I could have waited for 2016 or 2017, but by then I will have enjoyed my 2015 for two years. Not much to complain about other than brake squeal, and Ford is on that, it'll be fixed before long and isn't a big deal in the mean time. These "panelgate" issues are more hype than reality, pumped by people who don't understand that mass-produced vehicles are seldom perfect and sometimes have to be adjusted by the dealer upon arrival. Horrors!

Wait until 2017 to buy this one, and you won't buy it because by the there will be stories of the 2018 refresh that will be all that, and then in 2018 you don't want a "first year" car again, so maybe 2019 or 2020, and by then this car of mine will be well worn, thoroughly enjoyed and nicely customized. And you'll be telling everyone what a great car your Mustang will be, when you order it.

All this panel allignment crap makes me laugh. I havent looked at my car except in passing to get in and out and smiling like a devil when I see it. Who the f walks around a car looking at the panels when they are sitting behind a 400 horsepower v8. I wouldnt know what a panel misalignment was and I wouldnt give a damn even if I saw one. You could wait forever I suppose but just today when I was showing up just about everybody on the road, gunning it, passing, having tons of fun and I ended the day going 'what a lucky motherf'er I am, and Im so glad I have this :-)'. Waiting just means youll have another 6 months without those experiences.

Just buy it. If there's something wrong with it, it can be fixed. That's what your warranty is for! Despite mine having some alignment issues with the hood (which means jack because I'm getting it repaired following a collision), I would be even more eager to buy this car if I had to do it all over again.

These issues are minor. The car is a blast. I wouldn't want anything else for the price.

I don't have problems with either. My car was built in the beginning of november.
