Thank you.
Read my other comment and the one from @luc as well. Ceramic pads are for clean wheels and quietness. There is no free lunch with brake pads, you want sustained braking G and great initial bite and you will get dust. Period.

If you're going for looks, make sure the rotors have a rust preventive coating on the non contact surface. Mine are galv coated, I've also seen hi- heat black coatings.

Got these from Shelby American
Willwood 6piston 15 inch rotors
Awesome stopping power
Just curious:
What make them have “Awesome stopping power” compared to regular rotors ?
Having less contact area should make them less “Awesome “

Um. You’ve confused ceramic pads with carbon ceramic rotors. Not even on the same planet. Please separate the two. Ceramic pads are garbage for high speed and track work. No questions. Ask the track guys if they run ceramic pads for clean wheels. I’ll wait.
OK I believe you, this reply completely convinced me. Thank you sir.

Well they are better than factory and this is what Shelby puts on their Super Snake conversions
I noticed the difference at the 1/4 mile track when I have slow down after a 10.96 at 123 and I’ve been up to 127mph in the 1/4

I think that you fell prey to marketing and placebo effect
The only reason Shelby use them is because they look “cool”and are a 2 pieces design that save weight
There is a reason why racers never use cross drilled rotors on a track
As for stopping once from 130 mph, it’s child play compared to what a rotor has to endure on a road racing track
Glad you like them but you’re delusional if you believe that they are better, or even as good than plain blank rotors

The OP asked about drilled and slotted rotors
I give him my opinion
Glad to see you’re an expert on brakes

I wish that the picture of the brakes painted with geto added on top could be inserted here. I thought it was funny and curious if i was the only one? This is not for my personal use but I am curious is synthetic is a big deal for racers? If so is it still a regular thing to blead the breaks because they get hot after track day? I am a synthetic fan but break fluid isn't a big and easy sell to a regular person like myself.

I have a few cars but to keep it on track and on Mustang, i have a 17pp1 that is a track only car that run a squared set of 305 track tires
I use the cheapest blank rotors that i can get from rockauto and use XR1 Cobalt front race pads
Since i have been racing/tracking since 1993, I do believe that i know a thing or 2 about braking
Btw, early in my racing days, i made the classic mistake of of using cross drilled rotors and i discovered very fast why they are a bad choice for hard use, as any rotors used in very severe duty, they start to develop small cracks but in a cross drilled rotor, each hole is a stress/starting point and they soon propagate from hole to hole
They are fine for the street

Good for you and yes my brakes look damn good on my car and they are better than factory or are you saying Willwood and Brembo just charge more money for no better stopping power?

IUC if you know so much about brakes you should know when to put the brakes on a conversation and respect other people's choices.
