Prices are going up

Since I started looking, only about a week, the price on the invoice for the car that I'm looking for has gone up about $500.

Stop getting mustangs!!! Drive that price down.:lol:

Good deals are going to get rough I think.:frusty:

Really?? Where did you get that $500 invoice price increase from? I know my MSRP went up $200 since I ordered...I just can't see the invoice going up that much.

I won't be paying the $200 increase...sale is based on the price you ordered the car at...and agreed to...and signed with...in my case....the GM of my dealer.

From the Truecar sight. Best deal for a GT PP I could get so far was $34,000.

Dont use TrueCar, use X Plan. True car is nothing. Doesnt indicate a price increase from Ford. The Fordpartner site is what you want to use.

I'm not sure how accurate truecar really is, the price I paid for my car was not listed on their site.

Fordpartner is $200 cheaper than Truecar price. So it's relatively accurate.

I paid 2k under the price on the MSRP, 500 was incentive and 1500 was negotiated at the dealership. You don't have to pay MSRP, just shop around - if you were local I would send you where i went.

I am paying $2,800 off MSRP...and THEN take another $1250 off for incentives. So, that's $4,050 total off MSRP. I think I did well. Started to use X-plan..my GM said..don't bother...I can do better and you will then get the Incentive moneys too! 2nd new Mustang bought from him in 1 yr. Helps to make friends with a nice GM...

Repeat buyer... You get the "I like you" discount. First time Ford Purchase here. Right now I seem to be about $2,600 under MSRP. I might quit there. Seems like a pretty good deal. Slightly under invoice. And I didn't use x-plan to get there. They already went under that. But that was with $1,000 incentives. I'm not sure I can squeak another dime out.

Not as bad as the Premium Convertible Invoice jump that occurred near the end of December...$1,200! I know because the first Xplan offer I got was that much lower, than when I finally decided to bite the bullet on 31 Dec. Even the dealer was shocked when he looked back at the invoice pricing for 1 Dec versus 30 Dec.

Remember...Incentive money is Ford money...not the dealer's money....so when you negotiate don't let them tell you "what a deal you are getting"...and they are including the Ford money. That's AFTER you get your best price....tell them the Incentive money...is Ford's...and that comes after the negotiating is done.

They have more room if you push them.

I didn't know that. I will rake them over the coals then.:lol:
