Finished installing my front strut tower bar kit today. The switch from plastic brace (dunno if you can really call this thing a brace as it's more like a cowl spacer) was simple, and due to other threads and feedback from other V6 owners, I am currently using 1cm spacers (Stainless 304).

I feel the 1cm is a little too much so I was thinking if replacing the spacer with Stainless 316 washers. Will have to see how that turns out.

Big question I have now is with the spacers, the positive battery cable is hard to route. How did everyone do theirs? Route it under the bar?

Is this what you are wanting to know?

Yep!

Seems you have enough length that it would even match mine with spacer... Ugh gonna try again!

Thank you TONS to everyone sharing pictures. Since I have a V6, I had to add some spacers between my metal k-brace and the strut tower itself. Since I have been coming across some vague posts from other V6 owners from the past, I figured I'd try to be a little more thorough for future enthusiasts' sake!

I bought M10 ID, 30mm OD washers made in 316 stainless. I figured you might as well go corrosion resistant as possible, and marine grade protection against salt sounded good to me.

I don't know if this link will be good forever, but here's the sale link on eBay for the fender washers:

I stacked 3x washers per bolt post on each strut tower above the k-brace, then torqued all the nuts down to 41 lb/ft per the Ford Performance instructions. The tower brace bar cleared the V6's intake manifold just fine with three stacked, albeit the 2.5mm x 3 (+/- 0.2mm) was less than other posts mentioning approximately 3/8" of stacked washers.

Drove it around, didn't near any rubbing or clunking or anything like that. Happy with the outcome!
