I got tired of the Motive hand pump and was wondering if I could use my small "pancake" compressor to maintain 10 to 15 PSI in the Motive tank.
Volia!

Initially I was just going to remove the pressure gague and use the Pancake compressor gague. Then, after further consideration, ( and a second trip to the hard ware store) I decided a "T" would be an easy way to keep the pressure gague. I'm really glad I did, the compressor gague would have never been precise enough, trying to keep pressure between 10 and 15 psi. It really worked well ! Now bleeding the brakes after each track weekend won't be quite so tedious. I hated that hand pump!

Before I order , you have the 0109 correct , sometimes I have to use Amazon.
I see you use it dry , I'm only bleeding every couple years ( no racing) , so going to use dry and add fluid to reservoir .

Can't go wrong with buying through Optimum, especially if you can catch a good sale. Please explain more about the in-line compressed air filter, is it really needed?

Its to remove moisture for the compressed air. Is it really needed? Probably not but I had one so I added it.

I have a cheapie dryer on the output of my pancake compressor already. I suspect that moisture would not travel into the tank and then also continue up the line to the reservoir. Even there was moisture, would it not condense and be discovered in the tank?

My question is if a valve is a useful feature to cutoff the compressor pressure to the tank, for when you must relieve pressure in order to refill the reservoir. (I don't fill my Motive tank with fluid.) Thoughts on adding a cutoff valve?

I think when you turn the valve off, the brake system will still be pressurized. I just disconnected the quick connect on the air hose from the Motive tank and the brake system gently depressurizes.

Right. I assumed i would still crack open the tank top to bleed off the pressure if I had to refill the reservoir.

Since this whole project is for improving ease of use, I think flipping the cutoff valve is easier than connect/ disconnect the air hose.

This is one of those products I keep wanting to investigate. If it makes life easier I must have it. But I thought bleeding brakes was already simple(probably because I'm doing it wrong lol)
