only thing that turns me off is Rim(blackberry) has their paws on it....and from what we've seen it's so white and grey and not very pretty of an ui.

I mean it's going to do the same thing in the long run as the current offering.

I see no reason to wait on it...we are supposed to be getting a mustang because of what it is not for it's tablet wanna be interface!
RIM also designed the Chrysler Uconnect software interface, which is currently recognized as the absolute best automotive UI. I would be ecstatic if my Sync worked as well and was as intuitive as the 8.4 Uconnect in my wife's '14 Ram 1500.

in my opinion, you keep waiting for the next best thing, you are never done waiting.

I really like the current version. I ve watched the video of the new one and don't think I would enjoy it any better.

I noticed in that video that he said it would be available in the fall. So I guess the 2016 probably wont be out until late September at the earliest.

I am a tech nerd and really want yo wait, but the reason I didn't buy last fall was because I wanted to enjoy the car without snow tires for a while. As much as I want to wait, it is starting to feel like a bad idea.

I hope Parrot can deliver this as well. Sync 2 is terribly slow.

I'm going to keep my eye on the Parrot RNB 6. At the end of the day I just want Android Auto, which Sync 3 probably won't have.

My ford touch is too integrated into the car. I highly doubt you will be able to add a parrot or any aftermarket.

Ford says they will support CarPlay, just not right away. It will probably be included in an update, which sync3 supports over wifi. I would think they would also support android auto because QNX can support both.

I don't believe Ford I suppose. There's no incentive for them to improve MyFordTouch once the've moved on to Sync3. The current system is so slow, I pick up my phone to get to my music.

I'm eyeing the Parrot RNB6 as well, it looks promising and hopefully will gather good reviews upon release.

The current MyFord Touch is "fine", but I find myself trying to avoid having to use it due to how sluggish and buggy it is.

I don't expect Ford to provide any updates to MFT once they've moved on to Sync 3. This Parrot deck will tie into the CANBUS, so I'm hopeful it's capable of controlling everything the MFT deck does. We'll have to wait and see.

My biggest fear is Ford discontinuing updates once Sync 3 comes out.
They haven't done many updates since they stabilized it anyway. If it does what it needs to do (and does now, I don't really have any complaints) then I'm fine with it as-is.

Another way to decide if one should wait or not - would you trade your car just get to get Sync 3? In my case, it's a resounding no. I'd rather have my car now then wait!

I'm traveling on business and driving the 2014 Charger as a rental. The difference in navigation speed between Sync and Dodge's system is very noticeable. There's no lengthy pause browsing or searching for music using their system. I don't understand why Sync is so painfully slow.

After reading about all the issues with MFT, I went with the base GT. I don't regret my choice. Remember, you are buying the car not an infotainment system. I hope that isn't a deal breaker.
