just got my battery disconnect switch and will install it Sunday. Now I won't have to keep it on a tender all winter. It mounts to the negative post and has a rotary switch knob, it will allow me to keep the battery cover on after it is installed.
What is the amp rating of that switch?

My check valve went. When to start the car one morning and I was getting extended cranking also my current usage on the gauge was pretty high for the pumps. Check valve got stuck barely cracked open pushing the pumps as hard as they can go. Almost hit 38 amps LOL so i took this oppertunity to upgrade from my twin pumps with the help of Bud and wiser after looking at the price tag. going from a twin walbro 274 setup to a single dw810 in my radium bucket. it could technically hold 2 but for the life of me i cant get the socks in without covering the flapper valves that fill the bucket. I am pretty happy about the increased capacity now that one pump is gone.

On low it used 2 amps compared to 14 with the old setup. brushed tech is reallly inferior and i feel dumb for not doing it sooner. now i gotta make a choice on pwm or fixed speed.


next project is to ditch the venturi and fit it to a passengar tank lift pump.

A guy at work just bought these too and they look great. Give great protection too.
I just put my first set into my Mazda. I was disappointed in two respects. First, they look a lot more cushy than they really are. Although they look soft and quilted, they're actually just molded that way. Secondly, because they fit so well, its not easy at all to remove them for cleaning, especially if you secure them with all of the clips that are provided. Otherwise, they're super nice floormats - way better than Weathertech junk.

What diameter is that hole?
2-5/8 hole saw.

I wasn’t about to pay $80+ for the Steeda one. Put an aluminum slug in a lathe and made a guide.

4 hour each way road trip to pick up a set of 4 Mach 1 alloys and tyres.

Major GF points scored as she did all the driving and we played alloy "jenga" trying to get a full set of big wide alloys on her back seats and boot (trunk) 🤣

Will post pics once on. But really pleased with how they look.

Owner had replaced his with the Mach 1 "bird nest" 20" alloys.... a rare sight for these in the UK.

I love my lathe and milling machine. It changes how I do most modifications.
As much as I lusted after a Bridgeport with a DRO and a medium tool room lathe for most of my life. I couldn't justify it due to access to pretty much unlimited machines, tooling, and operators at work. So I never stepped up and bought them. Now retired, I lost most of that access.
But, I don't really need that anymore. Go buy yourself a decent 3D printer! There are affordable ways to print directly to metal!! I haven't come up with much for the S550 yet. But I have other projects! I am currently making a reinforcing plate for a battery box on a REAL '66 Cobra. Not metal yet. I'm using Carbon Fiber reinforced nylon!! Almost as strong as aluminum.
I'm still teaching myself CAD and learning the ins and outs.
