Anyone using an A2W on the street for low boost driving without a heat exchanger? The car has a low mount twin turbo setup, 10 gallon ice tank and currently has an A2A.

But I’m switching to A2W because the car will be mostly running short distance rolls and 1/4 at the track.

wondering if anyone has iat data with A2W on the street or photos of their setups!

I was also thinking since the A2W will most likely block the radiator of solutions for cooling. @NGOT8R recommended using air vent scoops to get air to the radiator.

looking for some solutions for cooling and getting air in as well. Any ideas are welcome.

I think killer chiller makes a kit that doesn't require a heat exchanger.

Do you by chance know which kit you're referring to?
I was looking I didn't see. It would be nice to not add another $2000+ to what I have already invested but I do want to know what you're mentioning

Beefcake could probably help better then I can. I looked into the idea briefly when I had a 2nd gen Lightning. The people that are running a KC with no heat exhanger are just looping the fluid back thru the Ice tank and IC.

I may just call ICC tomorrow or send out an email and see what options are! Thanks for the tip

Also, with the cobra/ lightnings, they don't have a very big IC since its under the blower. They have a heat exchanger and small coolant tank. Usually everyone gets a ice tank and a bigger h/e to prolong the heat soak especially after changing up pulley's. Unfortunately, I don't have any data on how long it would take to become heat soaked before or after the bigger coolant tank and upgraded heat exchanger.

I have a twin turbo setup.

With the intercooler being under or on top of the blower for supercharged applications like you mentioned, they have room to mount the heat exchanger right in front of the radiator. I on the other hand need to do something like this attached photo.

It's the Lund Racing Blue Goose on the old top mount turbo kit. I wont have a way to stick a big heat exchanger up front like the blower cars.

I believe most people run from an ice tank to the blower, then right into the heat exchanger and return back to the ice tank in the trunk.

Unless there is something I don't know I think my only option with this setup is to run lines right from the trunk into the a2w intercooler. and without the heat exchanger, I don't know how the temps will be

Without a heat exchanger of some sort, you'll have no way for the heat to dissipate and cool off the charge especially without constant ice.

Exactly, that’s why I asked for data or what people are doing with A2W setups and street driving.

I’ll have to keep looking. I don’t think a heat exchanger is an option for me. Unless it is mounted somewhere that is pretty clever.
