After 1500 miles I've noticed that both my passenger and driver seats are becoming very loose. Kinda relieved to find this thread so I'm not the only one whos having this issue. Has anyone taken it to their dealer?
1850 on mine and my seats seem fine... after leaning in (knee on seat) or driving. The seats have a sag but after that or the next time I drive the leather has rebounded and everything is taut again

I have a case open with Ford and the dealer was supposed to contact me with a time when they can have an upholstery person there to have a look at it. So far I haven't heard from the dealer, but the Ford rep is supposed to check in with me tomorrow so I may know more then.

I would recommend taking it to the dealership so they can document and photograph now while you only have 1500 miles on it.

I think I may go ahead and bring mine in. I've never seen the leather in a car do this. I only have ~1000 miles and have had my car 7 weeks. It's not gotten worse since the picture I posted earlier, but to have it documented isn't a bad idea. I'll just say my wifes Explorer Limited, my previous '09 GT, my daughter's Jetta, my mom's '15 IS350 F-Sport, or my sisters Pilot have similar issues on their leather.

This is happening to mine as well. While I agree it should not happen, honestly it does not bother me and I actually do not mind the way it looks.

Now, if it continues and gets a lot worse, my views may change.

I'm kinda concerned about the leather and the pics I've been seeing...in many places on the web. I've owned 9 Mustang GT's....and although the leather in all of them was not the best...they were always tight. These look "loose" and poorly supported underneath. My best guess, after owning too many vehicles....if you have "loose fitting" leather....
The leather is a lot more loose-fitting than it was on my S197 (that stayed tight as a drum for the four years I owned it), but it's also a MUCH MUCH MUCH higher quality, better-feeling leather. I'd gladly take that tradeoff in a heartbeat.

My outside passenger bolster looked a little loose. I was wondering if it just has to break in. Car only has 100 miles on it now though and won't come out to play until spring. Hope the issue is figured out by then.

From looking at the leather, I wonder if the foam is missing pieces underneath????

There is a YouTube video which shows a detailer taking the wrinkles out of a premium leather seat using a heat gun. He mentioned that gentle heat will cause the leather to slightly shrink, stretching it back to its original tautness. He didn't say what the recommended temperature was, tho'

I have an appointment to take my car in next Friday. They will be taking it to a local upholstery shop to hopefully fix the seat.

On a side note, Ford Customer Service has been fantastic with their follow up since I reported this issue.

Unfortunately my dealer claims that the loose leather is normal wear.. and if it was too tight then the seat would rip. I'm calling BS...

I was told that initially as well. I pulled out the picture of the seat when the car had 9 miles on it and asked how it could be related to wear when no one had sat on the seat at that point.

I unfortunately did not take a picture of the seat when it had no miles on it. Mine is loose on the bottom part, rather than the sides (like yours).

I think that the best plan of attack is to carefully photograph both the exterior and interior when you take delivery.

Closing the loop on this thread. Kudos to Ford Customer service and Sun State Ford for following up on fixing my passenger seat.
