This thread makes me

I'm not sure if you guys have never had leather interiors before or what but I see nothing wrong with any of these pictures. Leather expands and contracts with temperature. 2 minutes with a steamer and any "looseness" or wrinkles will be gone...

I have had 3 cars with leather interior, all have displayed similar behavior to what is portrayed in these pictures. It really isn't a big deal and hardly worth a trip to the dealership IMO.

I've had many, many cars with Leather interiors and none looked like mine new or even months/years on e.g. having an actual crease in the seat isn't normal. If it were just "loose" then I likely wouldn't have even mentioned it.

My Mach 1 looked perfect on delivery and stayed that way. My 2009 GT Premium the same. The 2000 GT 'Vert, the same. My Wife's 2012 Explorer Limited, the same.

Edit: My picture doesn't do a good job of showing the crease.

With that said, I probably won't do anything about it.

I have 60K on my Maxima and never a loose fitting wrinkle in the base or back, that is what my observations are based on. I understand the heat method and what is the intent is, my point is it should not be necessary. Maybe the ventilated option or softer leather is the issue, who knows. I know it s not a hand built European car but it is upwards of the mid 40K range and should have better looking seats imo. I have not seen this issue with the Recaro's, anyone have a different observaton? Thanks.

I guess it just doesn't really bother me? My current G35 leather wrinkled and creased within two months of driving it off the lot. My brothers 350Z was the same way. My previous 335 took a little longer, maybe 6 months, but again, the leather loosened just the same. All 40k+ cars. This is one of the reasons I will be opting for the recaros and a non premium interior though. After all the experiences I've had with leather it's just not important to me anymore.

But hey, everyone has their opinions and I'm not here to step on people's toes. I hope these issues get resolved to everyone's satisfaction!

I agree with ya. If the 19" premium wheels were optional on the base I would be doing the same. Debating going PP and having them powder coated. Maybe care or temperature has something to do with the appearance. I also keep debating premium because I LOVED the ventilated seats on my F150. Gonna have to sit in the Recaros and go from there. Not a deal breaker regardless, just wish they were tighter.

Bump. Anyone gone to their dealer with this problem? Were they able to correct it or told you were SOL?

I didn't go. If it gets much worse, than I probably will think about going. Still no guarantee.

My mom's seats in her new IS 350 are similar style, but very, very taut. I love the interior of my Mustang, but I'm jealous of her seats.

I got a voice mail from the Ford Customer service rep assigned to my case. She said I should be hearing from the dealership this week regarding a replacement for the passenger seat.

At our recent meetup in Central Florida we had 16 S550's and mine was the only one that had this issue.

Hopefully will be getting my first Mustang soon. Anyway was at the dealer and took some pics of a newly arrived convertible in there show room,.. this was on 1/10/15.

Here is a pic with my iPhone of the interior of the car. I noticed the drivers seat in the picture before reading this thread and thought,.. hmmm. It doesn't appear to be bad, but none the less.

It's not bad until you look at the other side and realize it could be and should be just as perfect.

I'm waiting for the dealer to call me to schedule an appointment to get my passenger seat fixed/replaced.

I don't understand why can't they check this at the factory before they release them? If they were actually building these cars with great pride, none of these cars would have this defect.

After 1500 miles I've noticed that both my passenger and driver seats are becoming very loose. Kinda relieved to find this thread so I'm not the only one whos having this issue. Has anyone taken it to their dealer?
