I went to the track last night with my gt pp and was having some issues with the car detuning (for lack of better word) in 1st and once in 1st and 2nd gear. I couldn't figure out if it was due to wheel hop or if I left to aggressively it would pull power away in 1st gear. So bad that a v6 camaro pulled me until I hit 3rd and the power came back and I ran around him. On that pass I ran a 14.3 (detuned in 1st and 2nd). The other times it only did it 1st I ran upper 13's. Does anyone know what this is about or how to get away from it? I had it in track and traction off.

On passes it didn't do it I ran 12.81-12.85 at 111-112 mph.

60'ft s were 2.0's. If I launched over 2500 it would spin so it was a balancing act. The best 60' was 1.97. I got lapped the car 5-6 times and left. I made 6-7 passes in an hour and half so not much cool down time.

The car is stock except frpp sport cat back and eibach sport springs.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks

Sounds like traction control.

That's kind of what I felt to, but I was under the impression in track and traction off there were no interference from the computer. Anyone know for sure?

are you sure you actually turned tc off?

i've never experienced any kind of 'detuning'.

Maybe Advancetrac kicking on? You had it in track mode but at a stop did you push the brake and hold the traction control switch up until the advancetrac was disabled? Maybe thats it?

I have felt something weird a couple of times when I had only around 600 miles on mine. left the parking lot and rolled into the throttle a little and it almost felt like the clutch was slipping or the rear end was floating and not really accelerating like it should. I have never felt traction control but I assumed thats what it was.....hmmmmmm

learned this the other day on here as well. So you can turn traction control off...but there is still the Advancetrac. Weird. I learned the 5 second trick to turn that off as well but what is the difference?

Before every run when i started the car I put it in track and flipped traction control up and it would say tc is off. I did not hold the tc switch up for any period of time. News to me? So I need to hold tc up for a couple of seconds?

Yes, I read about it the other day on here somewhere. I tried it the other night and sure enough.

I put it in Track Mode and the traction control OFF indicator comes on. Then I held the traction control level up for 5 seconds and ANOTHER "advance-Trac" off indicator comes up in addition. Crazy....can someone explain the difference and what is going on here AND if in fact that might be the De-Tuned feeling?

At least it sounds like I can turn it off. It was irritating having a v6 camaro pull me 5 car till half track then once I hit third come running around him.

From what I understand traction control is simply for wheel spin, but if wheel spin creates a fishtail or a slide then advancetrac kicks on and applies braking or throttle adjustments to help the driver maintain control of the vehicle.

Regardless, I turn both off at the track or when I want to play. For my 12 I had both disabled in my track tunes.

Maybe someone with more info can chime in.

I just tried holding the tc switch and the advance traction was turned off and it made a huge difference. There didn't seem to be interfence when I did a hard launch with lots of wheel spin in 1st and 2nd.

Thanks

Its in the tune, any good tuner can disable it. Turning off all the nanny's will not fix that issue.
