I think the Mach 1 trips are 4 or 4 1/2 inches wide and the gt500 are 5 inches wide. The rear valence is the same. You should be good.
I was more concerned about the drop of the tips. It looks like the M1 tips make a downward turn as opposed to the factory GT tips. From what I can see from online photos, a GT valance and M1 valance look like they have the approximate same height of exit? I guess I won’t know until we attempt the install next week.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to have an exhaust shop change out the tips with welding?

Long story short, I purchased my Mach 1 from an out of state dealer and overall the purchase went just fine . The car was in perfect shape but the previous owner cut off the factory Mach 1 exhaust (for whatever reason, I don’t know) and replaced it with something aftermarket and deactivated the active exhaust. The dealer did gave me some money back as compensation and I decided just to make the best of it.

I ended up installing the Borla S type cat back exhaust that was listed for a GT. The carbon fiber tips are amazing and line up decently well. They do make a system for the GT500 with 5” tips but it’s also the ATAK which was too loud for me.

The Borla S type sound is amazing! It is smooth without rasp and reminds me exactly of a 90’s Mustang with old school flow masters. I love the fact that my active exhaust is now working again and I can quiet down the system when I want to. Track mode is fantastic and the videos on the internet do not do it any justice. While I would have preferred to have kept the factory Mach 1 exhaust, the Borla S type is a phenomenal upgrade.
