I just had the Power Pack 2 installed, and am very happy with the results. I noticed that when I was watching videos about the install, some show the engine cover being trimmed so that hoses do not come in contact with it. Mine was not trimmed, and touches the hoses towards the front of the engine. I have taken the cover off for now, but will it cause problems if I leave it on? Vibration causing wear on the tube etc? Is there an alternative engine cover with more clearance? Should I not worry about it, or should I just bite the bullet and take a dremel to it?

Thanks

I have the same set up. I read somewhere here and got an angled vacuum clips that re-routed the line enough to not impact anything

The engine cover is cosmetic only. The Power Pack 3 removes it completely. It will rub a hole in the hose if you don't trim the cover, it's disappointing that the installer didn't actually read the instructions where it shows where and how to trim the cover. Trim the cover and reinstall if you like the way it looks, not a big deal.

I personally hate engine covers, why hide that beautiful power plant?

Dremel it nicely. That’s what we did with my 2016. Nice mod. You’ll enjoy that for sure
