This is a random question, but the standard HID's that came on the 13' and 14' had a crisp kind of blue hue to them. Every time I go to a dealer to check out one of their cars I forgot to look at the headlights when they're on. From what I see in pictures they look more whiteish on the 2015's. Can anyone tell me if it is the same kind of blue hue as a 13' or 14' had, or are they white now?

God that's disappointing. Oh well, it's a minute detail. Maybe I'm just obsessed with blue.

Ehh, white headlights are just so common, nearly every car has white. I love crisp blue HID lights, but it would likely look weird with the white LED gills, unless I made those blue as well somehow.

Most headlights are more yellow than white. These HIDs seem pretty white.

They aren't cheap but you can change out the bulb for a different bulb (5k,6k,8k, etc.)

That crisp blue hue is due to the lens on the headlight. Notice when you park facing a wall that blue/purple color is only at the edge of the beam. Below it, the color is white.

See pic below...

All stock HID or LED headlights are white thats why they are common. OEM manufacturers put 4300K temp bulbs because thats the closest to the sun or everyday visible light. Lower colors temps (around 3K are yellowish) and higher color temps (8K-10K) are blue. Those higher color temps are the bulbs you see in hondas that put out that horrible blue light. You don't want that as they put out less light than a 4300K bulb.

Pic of a nice cutoff. Notice the blue/purple band at the top. Thats the HID "flicker" that looks blue.

Headlights are not a fashion accessory. They are 4300K for a reason.

That picture is actually perfect as to what I was looking for, thank you. The car I have now has 5k bulbs that are HID. I know headlights aren't for fashion, I was just curious. Those are also much brighter than mine obviously, which will be nice. My current viewing angle is not very wide and I don't have projector beam headlights so I'm looking forward to it.

I've noticed on my car that really really sharp line delineating between where the light is and where it isn't like in that picture -- it's really jarring and extremely distracting, especially when you go over a bump and the light-line starts bouncing all over the roadway in front of you. There's one section of roadway where I've almost run into a wall three different times from getting distracted by that line. Is it possible to upgrade the headlights to incandescent bulbs with a normal diffusion pattern?

I agree with you there. This is my first car with HID lights and I don't like them at all. There is a sharp demarcation cutoff of light...terrible when going around corners. When going down a hill you can't see the other side of the hill going up beyond the sharp cutoff point of light. I actually adjusted my lamps up to compensate...just enough to help a little yet not so much people are flashing me because lights too bright.
I had to rent a car while out of town and it had HID lights too...same problem. So I think its a problem inherent with these type lights.
I think the older style diffused gradually ahead and allowed you to see further.

No offense Jimmy, but switching to incandescent bulbs would definitely NOT qualify as an upgrade. HIDs are proven to put the light out farther, and the design of the lights on the Mustangs also do a great job to the sides. The color temp of the HIDs Ford uses is as close to natural light as you can get. No incandescent/halogen can duplicate it. They can only come close. Yes, the HID beam is more concentrated/compact, which is what is limiting your vertical line of sight.

The crisp blue you see isn't the actual color of the bulb, it's the 4300K bulb being refracted by the projector lens.

100% sure the 2015 Mustang GT's projector lenses give a crisp blue at certain angles.
