That early April snow always gets us! No matter how warm it is the week before, it seems to always show up. Good thing is it doesn’t last long
yeah, i really love Wisconsin; I think it's such a beautiful state with so many awesome areas to drive, but March..into April can be taxing when you are ready to go...

Same here. Chicago catches a lot of flak (sometimes for good reason) but I do love it here and I do enjoy the variety of seasons. After Christmas though, I’m done with cold and snow and ready for spring. Seems like it takes forever to slog through January and February…

Sorry,.. was trying to be light hearted about the seasons here in the frozen tundra.....
I was referring to the the fact that every year I reach March/April in my neck of the woods and believe somehow it's going to be different.... the glorious spring weather will appear, everything will turn green overnight and the winter snow and cold with be a distant memory..
I'll pull my Shelby out, roll down the windows, hear that glorious voodoo sound and finally have 7 full months of driving weather...
Then we get 3 inches of snow at the beginning of April.. and I'm the one who got fooled again.
It's also a really great scene from the original Star Trek Series... How can you argue with Scotty...
LOL
I did understand you were just joking about the winter weather with the meme. I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine and did not mean to change the mood or detract from the thread.

Back to mother nature and her cruel tricks.

No Problem, totally understand. I work in the IT industry and a big part of what I deal with on a daily basis is cyber security threats.. phishing, malware, social engineering, identity theft, etc
Nasty people and organizations doing bad things on a regular basis hoping that someone will let down their guard and get fooled.

Temps have been in the high 50's and even into mid-60's the past week. Starting to see and hear more sports cars on the road, but still waiting for a good rain to get rid of the salt residue.
Woke up to this today...:angry::facepalm:

We’ve had several rounds of soaking rain this weekend so the roads are rinsed off good. I’m hoping for no more salt this year, but I’ve seen too many Michigan spring snows to set my hopes high.

Same here Lorne. We got thunderstorms Friday night (it was almost 80 on Friday) then we got an inch or so of snow this morning. They did not salt the roads thank goodness, they were warm enough everything melted

No snow here but lots of rain, flooding and tornados in the southeast.

Here in Cleveland, after tax day is considered to be safe to bring your car out for the season. This last week I was tempted several times to bring mine out, but I know better. Tomorrow's high temp is only supposed to be 40, big change from Friday when we hit 78.

Latest 10 day forecast here in WI.. like the temps, but still some snow coming.
Unless we get dumped on I don't think they will salt here, but I've been wrong before..

I drive mine every week or every other.

It don't snow a lot and when I t does I wait a few days till the salt is pushed off the road and then I go for a 20 minute ride on the main roads. Cars 9 years old and not a spec of rust on it underneath

Going for a 900 mile round trip mountain drive to a secluded hot springs and 1950s wood cabin on Wed expecting fabulous fresh snow mountain views and some sun mixed with rain.

Mountains look way better in winter thanks to the lighting.

I spoke with a fellow Wisconsin car enthusiast this morning and he made another great point about waiting for some significant rain. The amount of debris on the road can also be a factor. He took his Harley out last week and although there was not a lot of salt on the road there was a good degree of rocks... dirt... pieces of wood, etc.. which is typical after the winter season. Not to mention the lovely potholes
