How much of a difference in throttle response do you get? Is it a noticeable difference compared to anyone who's driven an 11?

I tried the one for the hazard lights today; it works to turn the hazard lights on and off pretty well.

Out the box in regular mode, it has better throttle response than my 11 did. And feels like a lot more low end torque (maybe due to converter as my 11 was a manual).

Sport mode definitely speeds up the throttle curve. I suspect they do this by speeding up the throttle angle versus input at pedal rather than true throttle response, but either way, it feels like better response.

Once you get a tune the different modes become irrelevant IMO. The only useful one is rain/snow mode.

It's the converter. My 14GT pulled better down low/part throttle than my 12 and 15 5.0 manuals. The 15' definitely has better throttle response than the 11-14 though.
Can't comment on the toggle switches as I have a base GT.

Quite a lot of difference. Normal is fine for most circumstances, but Sport really wakes up the car. Much faster responses, much sportier. Rain/Snow mode kills throttle response very effectively, which is a big help in slippery conditions where any twitch of your ankle may spin the car.

I haven't needed or tried Track mode so can't say anything about it. I am glad I have the modes. The Rain/Snow mode in particular makes the car much more useful as a DD around the calendar.

+1

Tried sport mode with manual shift today and redlined the thing before I knew what was happening. Totally caught me off guard as I'd only driven in normal yesterday on the way home from the dealership. This was going from a dig, so it definitely caught me off guard.

I find that the transmission shifts in the same aggressive manner in any of the following combinations:

Transmission in D and Drive Mode in Sport+

Transmission in S and Drive Mode in Sport (No toggle switching needed, defaults to Sport)

Transmission in S and Drive Mode in Sport+

Am I missing something subtle between these different combinations?

When you shift the transmission into S, the Drive Mode gives you three options Sport, Sport+ or Track.

What is the difference between Sport and Sport+?

Thanks

When I am shifted into S and then flip to Sport+ it usually does a lot more revving which sounds pretty cool :)

Sport mode does make a big difference in responsiveness. It also revs higher when downshifting, etc. It sounds a lot more like a sportscar.

If the car is a polite lady in normal mode, it turns into a badass when you switch to sport mode.

I can't comment for an Auto, but i've played around with the switches a lot, since I got my manual. Wet/Snow, is awesome! really turns down throttle response, and keeps you pointed forward. We've been seeing a lot of "cold" rainy weather here in Houston this last week, and I have been in that mode 80% of the time.

Normal, is great for your daily commute, way more than enough grunt to pass people, but civilized enough in lower RPM for stop / go.

Sport+, is fun, use this mode to "fish"

track, I have not used yet... as soon as the streets dry up, i'll play around with it.

To get a real feel, i was in normal mode, from a stop, shifted to second, and then pulled hard after i shifted to third. mid pull, i hit the toggle to sport mode.

2 words describe what i experienced.

HOLY SH%*!!!

yes, that was a lot of fun. I think my wife needed a change of clothes.

i have not done the same for track mode.

So what difference is there between S and D? I haven't messed with anything other than D and Sport+ as well as Wet/Snow mode.
