Front End Noise Mystery

My car has 12K+ and my guess (going out on a limb here) is that I do a lot more spirited driving then you do, and I'm still here with no issues with this situation, so if nothing else, myself and everyone else here so far has not had any safety issues arise due to this, so I would say for now unless myself or someone else comes back with a different story I would say your safe, but lets see what Ford comes up with, or even how hard they are going to try and pin point it.

We'll see what they say but I won't turn it back in unless they accommodate me going out of town with the rental.

Reread what you quoted, she said after they "fixed" it she had the radio up and didnt pay attention, so based on this there is no evidence it was fixed as she had the radio up and when that happens you cant hear anything.

Oh ok, I did not associate the radio part with the alleged "fix". I saw in a previous comment that at first it didn't do it and then stopped paying attention to it until it happened again. But yea Radio can masks car noises.

My car has 18,000 and has done this since day 1. Anyway, I Hope everything gets sorted out.

so this is happening with autos, manuals. are they all big brake package cars? Base cars too? Wheel size? Magnarides?

Someone with an auto, back up, turn wheel left and drag the brake heavy while you apply gas/ does it still do it?
also someone mentioned doing the same on a grass surface.
Might not be in the steering even though it feels it.
I haven't heard everyone's car but on the occasional minor pop I doubt it s serious but it would be nice to narrow down the issue. Make sense to anyone else what and why I m asking the above?

something in the brake caliper, mounting, or pads shifting from pressure to the rear going back then reversing the pressure when moving forward. If it didn t do it while on the brake then I guess it s in that area. I m just spitballing here and I have heard pads click or pop from changing direction of force. The other mention was the grass surface which might indicate suspension if it didn t do it on that surface.
If it s almost a creaking sound for some then there is a small chance there are different issues for different people. I can t believe no one has had a failure of a component which leads me to believe it an annoyance only.

I've posted the video listen very carefully towards the end. It actually made the popping sound today turning left wheel locked into a parking spot.

Sorry I heard nothing other than you pressing the button and sniffling (LOL) but I didnt see you moving or holding the wheel, I'm going to take a video today of mine and posted for everyone to compare to, just been busy putting Halloween Props up for the kids in the neighborhood.

Can either of you feel anything or is just the noise. The tone is a little different from the usual noises that come out of the front end when there’s an issue.
