Any word on this? The transmission shifted like butter when I first got it. It wasn’t until it popped outta gear a couple times that it started getting “notchy”

What I ran into was later proved to be a different story (there is another thread about this).Following this too to see if any got feedback. The OP’s video doesn’t work anymore so I couldn’t compare. 12k mi on mine and after this last road trip I’m starting to hear a delayed “shunk” sound when down shifting in all gears. Like a second or two after the shift. No issues on feel or what not from the stick or pedal though. Gonna try to get a recording of it this morning.
anyone get any updates on what y’all ran into earlier in the post?
**edit** here’s the vid from this morning.
correct, and I’ll take a look at the other thread tooWhat I ran into was later proved to be a different story (there is another thread about this).
Regarding your video, is your problem a "clunk" right before the rev match kicks in? Otherwise I do not hear any suspicious sound.
Just to save you the time, the other thread is about a different issue - which manifests in the second gear, while pulling (not shifting) and which is probably caused by the reverse lockout plastic collar which is vibrating and interfering with the metal block. Here

You’re right, for some reason I thought delay and it’s not. It’s that clink sound just before rev match hits. I tried turning off rev match and it’s still there on down shift. Kinda stumped on what to look at. Local dealers haven’t done me right in the past so I don’t have a whole lotta faith in them figuring it out without throwing parts at it.Just to save you the time, the other thread is about a different issue - which manifests in the second gear, while pulling (not shifting) and which is probably caused by the reverse lockout plastic collar which is vibrating and interfering with the metal block.
In your case I am a bit confused by you describing the sound as "delayed". If it happens right before the rev match (I assume you have the auto rev match on) it should be actually *before* the shift, otherwise the rev match would not work?
Anyway, you can try to turn the rev match off to eliminate the idea it is somehow related.
I hear it very noticeable, still its hard to hear "tone" with sounds like this unless you are actually in the car. You’re right, for some reason I thought delay and it’s not. I can see where it could be described that way…. I don’t know that it’s induction noise though. That would jive with it being a result of the rev matching, but it does it with and without. I’ll try and capture it today without the rev match on our way to boulder for the Shelby Show. Maybe that’ll give it some better sound without others to muddle it.I hear it very noticeable, still its hard to hear "tone" with sounds like this unless you are actually in the car.
On these crappy speakers it almost sounds like an air "whoosh" noise. Are you sure Its not the induction noise from the Cold Air Intake?
