Not at my car to take stock of the visual difference.

Did you notice anything else? Is the panel heavier? Reduced outside noise? Is it more solid? More flimsy? Details lol 😂
It did feel lighter, little flimsy but once mounted, it felt solid, it's not a huge difference but it definitely changes the interior even if it's a minor change. I would recommend if anyone does this to get the triple seven door handles along with the door panels just to stand out a bit more

oh my I will be stalking this! I want to do the black door handles and pulls from the dark horse.

My questions I guess is the reverse will the s650 handles/pulls go into a s550 door panel?

I would assume so because my s550 door handles fit Into the s650 no problem

damn right they did! thats what I am talking about! thanks a bunch for the info. Did you transfer both the door handle and pulls?
I only transferred the pulls because the s650 ones were heavily scratched

I am assuming other interior pieces will fit without major modifications for the interior, I was considering a dash swap but I actually love the s550 dash better

I take it that someone else seen this thread and bought the last x2 door panels on ebay :cwl: well I will find a Pic of the back side and show what would have to be cut off on it

Well, wasn’t me…. So were you able to get your other door panel to complete your conversion?

Dash swap might be a little more complex and require more modification. Given the larger screens, placement of HVAC vents, the way it ties to the center console (which is also slightly different), etc. Would be cool to see someone try though.

Well done on the door panel

Yep I was able to get a door panel from another seller that had the same leather premium with ambient lighting package

I agree and from looking at close pics, the lower section of the center console appears to be the same as a S550, I'm gonna try the A pillars next cause I know the roofline had changed however when looking at pics comparing S650 to S550, the hvac and everything looks the same as S550 and I will post the comparisons in a bit and the A Pillars have the same exact mounting tabs and clips so hopefully they only redesigned the roof rails and skin and not the A pillar, also compared part numbers for the windshield and there's 1 that almost shares an identical part number between the 2

Haha man I wish I would've got those door panels, they had a sick denim style material to the inserts 🫡

The hvac on the s650 door panels lined up perfectly with the S550 dash buuuut..

Here is the underside dash of the S550

Also Facebook is toxic for custom projects like this 🤣 got lots of hate lol but I'm posting an update since everyone on fb gave me hell even though I said it's not finished on the cutout of my door latch

Looks factory when looking straight on but let's be honest, door gonna be shut most of the time anyways but cleaned it up and got the ambient lighting wired up to my window switch

Actually wanted to clarify on this, I will be taking apart the new panel coming in again sometime this week or next but the silver pull handle on s550 did bolt up perfectly on the s650, I did notice that the s650 pull handle had an added mount for x2 screws on both sides where the s550 had x2 screws in front of the pull handle and x1 screw mount in the back but did not interfere or make a difference, I will put the damage s650 door pull on my now spare s550 door to confirm it'll fit or if that extra tab will have to be chopped.

That looks great; I get it that you were test fitting and not finished with the final fitment…

FB is just a dumping ground for some people who have nothing better to do than bully others from their keyboards…. They’re nothing but the fleas of this world with no relevance. Ignore those kind.
