Thank you very much, it certainly should not have made less boost however, increasing airflow to the turbo increase boost if anything (given same wastegate settings etc). Be sure to check your piping at the intercooler and the turbo, all of ours were almost ready to slip off after a few test drives. We have a clamp upgrade kit and will be offering our new tubing upgrade kit in just a few weeks.
Yes there was a spot for temp sensor identical to oem. The most annoying part was having to lift the car and remove bottom covers to have access to be able to install the filter from the bottom. It does not fit from the top. Also the 2nd annoying part was clipping one of the small hoses back to the intake. It is a hard plastic with very little flex to it and not enough extra length to make the job easy but with a little grease and help from a friend it was doable. But now without the stock box you have so much more room and with this intake a blow off valve will be over kill. Definitely has nice sound to it
Yes, it is located near the filter, This is a requirement and the MMR kit uses a twist to lock provision just like the factory intake. you can see it to the far right of the picture below
