Hello Everyone,

Im thinking about selling my Mach, and want some serious thoughts as to what I should ask for it. Yes, I have checked KBB for a starting range. After checking various sites the price range for cars equivalent to mine range from 58-66K (crazy asking price).

Here is the details on my car:
  • 2022 M1, 6-Speed, HP, Elite Package, 700A Heated/Cooled Seats-2343 Miles
  • Garage Stored, with factory cover
  • Bemaro overlays in engine bay
  • Redline Extreme hood struts
  • Full Ceramic coating inside, outside, wheels, brakes, and glass
  • EXPEL PPF on the complete front, leading edge of roof, mirror caps
  • Ceramic window tint, legal for NC. Clear ceramic tint on windshield
  • Continental ESC-2 tires. 305/30/19 front, 325/30/19 rear
  • Oil change performed last month with Blackstone Report
  • Never raced or tracked
  • No mods, other than cosmetic mods, no tunes
  • Includes factory window sticker, owners kit, and all information from where I purchased it new
  • Ford is coming to my house today to update the Brake module recall, all S550 owners received
  • No dents, dings, scratches, on the body.
  • The paint and interior are perfect
  • Includes factory car cover
Thanks

I only see Mach 1s selling in the mid to upper 40s around me.

matter of fact the closest Mach 1 had been for sale for over 6 months now… originally listed at 47k and is now down to 43.

First off, your Mach is gorgeous. I would think trying to decide whether to sell is a difficult decision.

This one feels pretty comparable to yours. Most of the ones for sale around me are non-HP and are listed in the mid-40’s to mid-50’s used. There are some new non-HP’s that are discounted as well. These types of cars tend to sit for a while this time of year around here and prices generally reflect that.

I’d say low $60’s to high $50’s is a good starting point. From there I guess it depends how bad you want to sell it and how low you’re willing to go. HP’s are tougher find, at least here, so that should help keep the price propped up vs non-HP.

Thanks for the kind words Mark. Yes, the thought of selling this car is not easy but my knee is really causing issues with enjoying the car, and I do not like seeing it sit in the garage.

Like you I have found plenty of non-HP cars for sale in the 40s-low 50s, and HP cars with higher mileage than mine for high 50s- low 60s.

Thanks again

I get that, I have bad knees as well. Probably the main reason why I don’t have a manual GT and decided against buying a GT350 last summer. Best of luck and wishing you good health!

Heres 'Blackbook' on it.
I may have missed an option or 2.

This non paywall BB version I am posting only gives a 'Trade' & a 'Retail' #.
Private party seller is obviously in between.

Blackbook isnt Manheim, but before Manheim came along, BB was the most accurate pricing guide for dealerships across the country.

Prices are tumbling a bit as of Q4 '23, & the winter season, which technically started less than 30 days ago. It has an effect when you're north of around ~36° latitude.

I can send you the link to this BB site if you want to play with it. I have posted this several times for others on 6g in your situation. So you can just search for it here.

No price guide besides Manheim nowadays will be perfect, but BB is more accurate than KBB, NADA, & Edmunds ever were - as those guides are only update about ~2x a yr.

This pricing was last updated on the 15th of Jan. '24

Good luck w/whatever you decide.

Your car is practically identical to mine. Same options with 6-speed. I purchased my 2023 with 3400 miles on it. The PO had already put all the HP trim on it, including OEM wheels.

I paid 55k from a dealer. That included a new set of PS4s. In retrospect, I over paid by a grand or two. But the car had everything I wanted and 6 speeds are almost impossible to find. All M1s listed in my area (souther California, Arizona, Nevada are listed in the 55k-65k range. I have only seen one under 50k, and that was a higher milage car. The 2022 automatic with 1700 miles I was looking at was priced at 58k.

Obviously your area is a huge determining factor. But I'd think low 50s is a perfectly reasonable value for private sale. Less if your are trading in. Hope that helps. 👍🏻

Thanks Ryan,
The dealers I have spoke with have offered mid 50's trade in, on a 500.

If you get a tax benefit for trade in vs selling outright, make sure to figure that in the overall numbers as well. Here in IL we don’t pay sales tax on trade ins where we would have to if we sold it private party. Depending on the sale price, it could be upwards of a few thousand dollars.

We don't pay sales tax on private sales in Arizona. The only tax benefit we get is on new car purchases.
