Just sat in a friends car with after market Recaro Orthoped seats. All the
same adjustments along with heat and cooling. Very very comfortable. I
have sat in the Recaro seats that come in the Mustang and can say I would
have ordered them if they had been the Orthoped. Just have to wait for
my car to get here. EDD 1/26/15 per dealer.

I totally get the Recaro seats for track use if you need to pass a harness through those openings. Otherwise, the premium seats are definitely the way to go IMO for looks, comfort and features.

After having driven with the base (Premium, 50th Anniversary) seats, I can't imagine why somebody would want the Recaros on a daily driver. Very comfortable, very nicely bolstered. Just fantastic.
I felt the same way till I sat in the recaros. The thigh support and the length of the seat lower make a big difference.

Since I'm planning on doing Auto-X and track days, I'll be putting in a real track seat for those occasions. I'll take the amenities and use the cash I saved on something better for the track.

I am similarly sized (6'2", 235 lbs) and was concerned about the hip bolstering. They do break in and feel differently. I find them now to be nicely supportive. I suggest giving it a few weeks.
Thanks for the info. I'll wait for now before making changes. I told my gf I'm uncomfortable and she was surprised. She says the seats are much more comfortable for her than those in the 2011.

6'3" and 225 lbs and I LOVE MY RECAROS!! They not only look 100% better than stock seats they feel so much more supportive also. I am so glad I got them. They will be awesome for Autox and for daily driving they are so comfortable I am 150% satisfied

Interestingly enough, my wife says the same, and I thought she would not like the feel as compared to my 2010.

good thanks yall

my wife keeps telling me i'm going to hate going back to 2 door now. we have an almost 2 yr old and a baby due in april.

my veloster turbo having 3 doors makes a ton of difference because of the 3rd door with kids but i miss having a real sports car (had 350z before the VT, never owned an american car or mustang before). The kids won't be in my car very much except in the mornings. We have my wife's 2015 rogue for the family car.

The Recaro seat is perfect for my body type. I'm 160 lbs, 5'11". It's like the seat is made for me.

Finally got to take place in my seats today with my 6 feet 2 and 230 lbs and much to my delight they are perfect. Tight but not too tight fit, but contacting the body well, precisely what I expect from sporty seats, and killer looks with the optional red stitching :) ! If anyone in the NW wants to try let me know, car should be mine in January (first heading to europe for 2 weeks).

those of you with recaros how have they broken in? I test drove a gt pp today with recaros and i'm only 5'8 with broad shoulders and they were squeezing my sides quite a bit that's for sure. not sure if i'm willing to have that squeezing as a DD.

Does the grip lessen on the sides of your body after they break in a bit?

I just can't make up my mind if it's worth losing the heated and cooled seats for the tight almost death grip around the lower part of my ribs haha
