So... we all know that Ford has "augmented" the natural engine sound of the Ecoboost by piping audio in through the stereo. Upon installation of an aftermarket sub and amp, the sound has gotten so loud at 1000 rpm that it floods the cabin with bass.

Any solutions?

Pull the fuse for the symposer. I think that would fix your problem. But, if you like the symposer a digital mixer would be your best bet.

An MS-8 will do wonderful things for your sound system, but it will not solve that annoying fake engine sound.

You could try removing the aftermarket sub and amp and reinstalling the OEM components.

I saw my stereo guy yesterday for a dashcam and to talk about the sound in general. One of the things he warned me about was the mic above the back seat may need to be disabled. You can see it back there, looks like a button.
Not just our cars but a lot of cars use augmented sound or some form of active noise cancellation are affected by any change to the audio characteristics.

BlackVue. I wanted front and back but only got front. The back tint is too dark to be effective.

Getting the same on my setup. Anyone figure out the engine noise through speakers fix?

Nevermind it's easy. Yay no more stupid fake rice engine noises.

Pull the fuse.... I don't understand why this hasn't been the solution all along.
