I have a 2016 ecoboost conv. premium with the 9 speaker (no sub) setup. I want to add subwoofer by taping into the rear speaker signals. I need to keep the ANC (Noise canceling)...i dont care so much about the Fake engine sounds but i think they are somehow related. I have read in a few places that if you add a sub by taping off the speaker wires you will get some nasty noise as the ANC and Fake sounds get messed up by the amplification of the subwoofer since the main speakers are being used to feed the sub amp.

The solution always seems to be to disable (by disconnecting the mics or by shutting off in Forscan) the ANC. I dont want to do that. I tried to turn it off and found that the ANC actually does alot (at least for me).

So has anyone found a way to do this?

Can i turn on the sub outputs that would normally go to the factory sub amp (which i dont have) and somehow tap into that?

Any help would be appreciated.

so what about this...on the f150 forscan spreadsheet it lists the following options..
727-01-02 xxx* xx ANC Right Front Mixing & ANC Rear Mixing
4=RF: power Amp right & Rear: no mixing

It seems to say that value 4 would be to mix the ANC signal into the rf speaker but not the rears...if that is the case than the rears can be used to feed the sub? Has anyone tried this?
